India spanks USA over diplomat arrest issue !

India is making enemies all over the place. US will join the India containment policy stared by China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Next will be to fund separatist groups within India.

For that to happen relations between US and India would have to deteriorate much further, and it would help if a Republican President were in Office as historically Republican Presidents are less favorable to India, case in point Pres. Nixon.

"It is no longer about an individual, it is about our sense of self as a nation and our place in the world," Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid told parliament Wednesday, Reuters reported.
It's telling that the statement comes from the FM rather than a domestic politician. Khurshid is, essentially, defending the practice of abusing domestics, a practice apparently common among Indian diplomats like himself. Possibly he doesn't realize that diplomatic personnel at the minister level and above are themselves immune from such prosecutions, but it's most likely he's taking a stand for his personnel:

We have the right to abuse our own citizens as much as we want wherever we want regardless of laws; this is about us as a nation and our place in the world.

I'll revise my judgment on the basis of U.S. court findings, the arrest investigation, and Indian gov't conduct.

There are of course exceptions to the rule, but traditionally Republican administrations have been less favorable to India. I understand that may be difficult for you to comprehend due the situation your country is facing right now with one of it's female diplomats being stripped naked and fingered by US Marshals. After all that Indian diplomat could have been your mother, was it you who she was dropping off at school that day?

You do realize that it was President Bush who brought forth and pushed for the Civil Nuclear Deal and helped India get a waiver.

The only people doing the spanking are the US marshals :)

Are you high, Republicans today are more pro-India then they were before. All in thanks to China, Republicans have always been more pro army. And with the rise of China they see it as a threat which brought them closer to India.

You just have to look at the last election campaign and how Romney always talked about bringing jobs back from China and helping friendly nations in Asia in which he actually stated India.

You do realize there have been other Republican Presidents besides President Bush? Try studying history and looking at how relations of India are affected by which party controls the White House.

LOL, in the past yes, and US took out leadership in Germany and was anti british in the past. Does that mean they are anti British and anti German today. It is all about personal interest and who their interest align with. Today it is with India and countries like Vietnam which they once fought with.

"Pro-India" is not a term that exist in Washington, you're really a bungling fool to believe so. Republicans are not Pro-India, and many in the Republican party are not as anti-China as you think. You would like to think Republicans are anti-China and will favor India to contain China but it isn't as simple as you think.

Yes because they come on news every now and then and spout out things like bring Jobs back from China, stop China from bullying our allies in Asia like Japan and South Korea for fun. I recommend you look at their statements regarding the US and Chinese naval face off that happened couple days ago and you will see which party was pro china.

Let's be the judge, after NATO strike on a PA outpost , Pakistan for several months blocked all NATO shipments and containers that was a move against 27 NATO countries, a move which hurt the NATO war effort and cost them billions, Pakistan also made concessions which were met.

Compare that to India's female diplomat is arrested, strip-searched, fingered, cavity searched, and humiliated in front of her daughter, put in jail with drug addicts, and India's response restrict cheap booze and street barriers and a few minor things.

The real issue here is that India has just become a paper tiger in the region. It loves to boast about being a 'supa powa', but when reality smacks the 'supa powa' in the face you find the Chinese picnicking inside India, Pakistan allegedly beheading Indian soldiers and an 'ally' like US strip searching a female Indian diplomat.

You are quite delusional my friend ! There is no such thing as "pro-Pakistan", "pro-India", or pro - whatever in the American political machine.

The US is only pro-interest. If it serves the US to side with Pakistan against India it will do so in a heart beat. You guys are just being used by the US to contain China and you're needed in the IT sector since you'll work for a slave wage.
It's sad you don't see this especially after what happened to your aurath diplomat
