caste politics were completely shunned by the voting public. a long time dominant party was utterly demolished and the last govt which focused on development came to power in a land slide majority.
Bihar was considered to be one of the most corrupt and backward states in india. it registered a 11%(IIRC) growth rate because of the last govt.

edit: actually it was 18% growth rate making it the fastest growing state in India.

Sounds like a good trend.

Depends on how define the Indian elite.

Even though there are some bad members, most of China's CCP grass-roots members is far from a distance than India grass-roots members. As leaders, the gap was not that big, but still complete victory, China than India. The grounds that they lead the country's achievements. While the system may be some constraints in India, but China also has great difficulty from the 80s, into 90s and complex international environment even worse, the Chinese leaders (CCP leading member) has a clear lead in national governance than in India.

China didn't "dictate" anything.

One favour for another favour. India is looking for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council, China is looking for people not to go to the ceremony.

if china can back a terror group on pakistan's call , why the hell people out here going to belive they be giving support on UNSC to india........don't they will again back pakistan's call over a much bigger issue like the UNSC...

You're right. There is no chance that India will get a permanent seat because China will veto it.

However China did not back any terror group, we put a designation on "hold". And it was absolutely the right thing to do, judging by your reaction.

Not wide enough for both of us it seems.

China's most important issues are all internal, so the UNSC isn't that important. However we're not going to just dilute the "veto" power for no reason and neither will the USA.

as i said , there is a wider world which is more powerfull then UN..
the US ,NATO ,EU.....these has much more sifnificance then any other world body , and i think india is place very well with these....

UN resolutions hardly has any sinificance and impect with US ,NATO & EU...
can UN impliment any militery resolution with US+NATO....no
can UN impliment any financial resolution/sanctions with out US+EU...no

but US ,NATO & EU can still impliment any militery , financial resolution/sanctions without UN...
