India signs deal to supply submarine to Myanmar

YES thats obvious Indian reaction to Bangladesh made deal with China for building its submarine base.

Bangladesh navy knew today or tomorrow Myanmar will purchase subs thats why Navy also ordered 159 ASW helis.

Dedicated attack submarine Kilo class are definitely ahead of ming class but our ming subs also have been fitted with number of european equipments.

Anyways though its now clear signal to government we are in a weapons competition with Myanmar.

Europe and US has a arms embargo against China. So how does an European company sells stuff to a Chinese shipyard even though its about to be reselled?

159 ASW helicopters ??
that is a lot of choppers for a tiny navy like bangladesh's

This won't be tiny for long. 6 new next gen indigenous frigates, four more Type-56 corvettes, MPA with longer range like ATR or CASA, 6-8 sub, UAV by 2030, things gonna change a lot. BN has plans operate more utility and ASW helicopters. They tried to buy four AW-159 but later canceled the 2nd batch's tender and now word is they are going for AW-101.

159 helicopters for ASW is to support a large fleet
