India Should Keep Pakistan Embroiled and Draw it Into An Arm's Race

The India Pakistan RACE is OVER

Not really the race is for survival. Both in India and in Pakistan. Arms race only puts the Government on both sides to overlook many other problems. If we consider this then both India and Pakistan had to do something like delaying or for some time limiting the Arms Race.

In reality for Pakistan it looks encouraging because what Pakistan learnt from this is to rely on its own self and also an awakening took place in its people.

If we consider India they did not learn much that is not due to Pakistan but due to the other enemy China. China in the same period has flourished in all fields and built on. India could have done the same and become a force to be reckoned with failed because they feared this kind on expansion might bring too much development and the poverty level would increase making it difficult for its cast system (Though according to GOI Abolished) would break up the Indians internally.

Reduction in the orders is not due to India going to invest more on local products but go after Saab Gripen.

SO you believe that After 1999 ; India has been sleeping

It has not been sleeping but hibernating. If you consider what equipment was meant to join Indian Defence forces during the 1999-2000 period have still to be ordered. If all these are ordered today then it would take an other 5-10 years to fully become operational.

Amassing weapons has become a necessary evil since we have to deal with 2 hostile neighbors, but in my opinion its China that we are really competing against in this race. They've money and superior technology compared to India.

This has to do with an expansionist mind set. If we take China then they want to expand in all fields. This is the same concept that Germany is on they want to be a global player hence the technology they have is one of the most advance in the world today.

India too could do this but for it to reach that level it has to spend most of its money in educating its people and get them out of poverty, unfortunately this is not the way GOI is thinking. If GOI would want to get to the level China or Malaysia is then they would have gone and invested in getting expertise in all fields by education and moral up bringing of it people.

Actually, leaving aside Chinese 'paid' trolls, China is a much more responsible country. They don't threaten nuke shots like they are tequila. They have a mission, and are not blinded by religion. China is an adversary perhaps, a competitor - certainly. But not hostile. Our arms however are of course for all eventualities but the conventional threat perception from China is minimal. Threats in the 21st century come from countries that have no future to speak of. Countries that have little to lose. They are dangerous because of their desperation.

This is true because China requires to capture the entire world and build up its economy and good will.

Indian arms race being Pakistani specific is hilarious.

Given India's goal is parity with Chinese capabilities.

So Pakistan has little choice on this matter.

Also an important point to note, if Pakistan has an option/capability to procure weapons which will disturb the equilibrium, they will do so.

So Arms race will be subject to each nation's economic prospects.

Funny you Indians are,

From top to bottom all your extremist govt official talk about destroying, destablizing Pakistan and here comes a dude to tell us their arms are not for seeking superiority in the region.

And no India is not in a arm race vis-a-vis China as well.

These delusional Indians.... never stop amusing,

India wants to expand for that it would have arms race with any one that comes in between.

Well one has to see the reality. Tejas is going to be made and it is going to take 10-15 yrs. India has to replace 300-500 aircraft within the nest 5 years.

Funny guy .
This is India not Pakistan.
We can claim that aggressively because we have a low caste (accorin to you) as our PM.That is indeed shows the maturity and importance of developmental politics in India .

India didnt interest in stealing others effort through espiinage like China did .Had it been like that we would have been a huge arms industry .Our interest was in software sector and so now we have world largest software business.

Manufacturing pplicy is already began their journey.

For the world India is a success story .But Pakustan is something else there is a reason for that.

''An arm's race''? First of all India needs to improve its education system if your writers don't know when to use apostrophes. This is what ''an arm's race'' means:

This is already a strategy India is using. Using terrorists to cut down Pakistan and infiltrating agencies like the FIA which has completely fallen to RAW.

yes, correct, 8 submarines from China to counter India's growing navy and recent visit of type 039 Chinese vessel to Gwadar to train **** sailor , is part of Arms race only. And recent statement by Nawaziya to create more lethal PN, explains all the the shivering in Naval command. :P
Pakistan Navy requires to replace its existing 5 Agosta's and also requires an additional 3 to protect Gawadar. Hence 8 AIP subs have been ordered. If you do google and read that Pakistan has increased its Maritime boundaries to 350 nm which would require Pakistan Navy to expand its naval capabilities. So PN would be getting atleast 8-10 more submarines along with other surface ships.

India is thinking of expanding to China's back yard and still thinks that Pakistan should not expand. One one aspect that you should consider is "How would China react to Indian expansion?"
China could consider the same by entering India's back yard.

India went hunting inside Burma and the after effects were felt in Pakistan :D. As far as I know lions hunt and do you know that India is the only country that has 3 of the big 4 cats: Lions, Tigers, and Leopards. As we live with these animals, we understand the difference between a roar and a bark.

After effects...India can not think of a misadventure in Pakistan. Pakistan is not Burma. The operation that was done was done in collaboration with the Burmese Army.

Lions, Tigers and Leopards are afraid of hunters...

Keep it up, we need the Indians to equip themselves with the latest equipment and you guys need more troops also.
Also since your tank is a failure, you need to replace them also and increase their numbers.
And you have very few pilots, you need to train many more while working on the Tejas and mass produce them
And your navy needs to be stronger also with more aircraft carriers and more planes to be on these carriers . Work towards that, and keep working on it. The need of the day is a strong military, and nothing but a strong military. Make it a cornerstone of the Indian state, and work towards privatising your military production.
The Pakistanis can not dream of competing with such large numbers, but you need to work hard to make your self strong in reality not on paper. Make sure extra parts are available for every system which seems to be breaking down. Also make sure you have enough troops, you need more for the Navy, and work on re-equipping your troops. Us poor Pakistanis will just buy second hand equipment, and some how hope that our guns fire when they are needed

@levina and @Syama Ayas

The fun is not on a barren land, but a land worth $ 46 billion and the bombs drop. Insurance will become an issue. There is a reason why Pakistan is cozying Afghanistan. They know who is coming the F&ck them. There is some interesting reason why China is asking Russia to join it. Its going to be a big game. Rest is for your imagination.

What are you trying to say that if India bombs Pakistan then Pakistan is not going to bomb India....
Pakistan can hit any financial hub of India.

Our grand childrens stories will be:
Once upon a time there was India & thats about it.

Ya Once upon a time there was India and now its Akhand Bharat. :D

You can bt think about cost and response

Rassi toot gyi par bal nhi gya. Tum log kabhi nhi sudhroge lol.

Please don't attack us we will be financialy hurt :( . Listen Indian posters don't post something silly or Pakistan will retaliate. I heard Pak army officers visit this website often, you won't want to make them feel bad.
This is not 1999 Pak army is now 10x yes 10x and the strength of Indian baniya army is still same.

India will have to do a massive purchase to be able to take out Pakistan which is technicaly, geographicaly, strategicaly, historicaly, chemicaly, mechanicaly not possible. Remember this is the same Pakistan which defeated Soviet in arms race.

Hi,

Another indian idiot on the forum----. Pakistan military is not 10 times stronger than india----but 10 times from its OWN position of 1999.
