This is no achievement to boast about.
However it would be a shame if we had failed to help someone and we are in a position to help them just because of their nationality.
@asad71 how about helping the Biharis. Its not a taunt. Just means humanity is not always so common when we wear all these labels. Funny coming from you as your previous post on another thread was full of sympathies for terrorists who kill indian civilian humans.
1.What about Biharis? Some want to go to Pakistan. We have no problem with that, but we have heard Pak central govt could not convince any province to accept them. Those who want to stay hee are staying here with full rights. In fact all of them have been registered as voters. Their "refugee colonies" are nothing of that sort. They have built high rises, conduct economic activity including home-based production.
2. The Bihari issue has been kept alive by the merchants of human misery, UNHCR and the local Bihari leaders. They earn a lot and live in style at the cost of these people.
3. In Bengal and Bengali culture we have accommodated outsiders always. There is no Bengali word for "mohajir". We never had any mohajir colony. But you have taken me far off topic.
