I suggest you self immolate in front of the Russian embassy as a protest , I am sure your sacrifice will help in getting this deal cancelled.

Yes, During Kargil PAK missiles are not fly worthy , which is confirmed by PA itself. Some of the embarrassment PA don't tell to its people also.

Well India now have more compact and almost same level of performance at par of MI35 , from HAL Rudra , it can take more 12 or 14 soldiers against 8 of MI-35.

Turkey refused to sell some naval equipment to India for it be used against Pakistan. Russia might be our new found friend but Turkey is our twin brother and family. T-129 is an awesome weapon to replace our Cobras.

check out all these threads on the subject and see how much some Indian kids are reacting over this insignificant purchase,. Like I said

It is true,IMO, that India is not bothered in military terms by the purchase of Mi 35 by pakistan.
However, Indian govt. is posturing on the proposed deal since if we manage to stop the sale, Pakistan will have to buy more expensive/inferior or both platforms from elsewhere. Which means less money available for acquiring platforms aimed against India.

Even if we aren't able stop the sale outright, you bet your house we will increase the cost paid by Pakistan either monetarily or diplomatically, since Russia will ask for more concessions citing India's concerns.
If the sale does go ahead, it will also give India an aggrievance when we sit with Russia in our next strategic dialogue and maybe get something in return from Russia.

This policy has been used by India for some time now whenever Pakistan wants a new toy to either deny it or jack up the price(economic or diplomatic).

Expect this policy to continue until Pakistan gets over its "Kashmir" fascination and is ready for peace.

So contrary to your flight of fancy that India is opposing this deal to encircle Pakistan on all sides, its merely a continuation of an old policy.
