not rich enough targets to create an international splash. Do I think Pakistan would be extra extra extra safe this time? Yes...
But you reap what you sow and right not this constantly making hero's out of terrorists does not leave a good taste in anyone's mind. The environment is not of change rather continuation of same attitudes. Is it fair they and others wont come, I actually think it is not fair . But it is what it is.

Doesn't matter if we are safest or not...However year after year we have conducted lot of tournaments without any incident....So from security perspective we are doing good...However this cannot be said about Pakistan at the moment...Anyhow if you don't want to read the writing on the wall no one can help....Just for once stop looking at everything from proms of India and you will be able to get the logic behind such moves....

Pakistan has hosted tournaments with international countries since 2009. Yeah parts of KPK and Balochistan aren't exactly safe, but if you look at the india insurgency thread you'll see the same issue.

What an argument!!!...Was Lahore not more peaceful then both Mumbai and Delhi when incident with Sri Lanka happened??? Dude there is going to be some time before any meaningful international sport is going to be played in Pakistan...Security scenario is not just merely looked at from the state perspective...Overall portfolio also plays a part...Violence from extremism is a reality that Pakistan is facing atm and such tournaments are very lucrative targets for scum bags to prove a point....Even an unsuccessful attack on these teams will attract more international lime light then blowing few innocents in your western sector...
Anyhow i read someone was saying that the culprits behind the Sri Lankan team attack have been freed...Is this true or another cooked up conspiracy theory??

Sorry but unlike indians who have ISI like 24/7 on their mind, we don't think about RAW.
I don't know about Malaysia but this isn't the first time india has pulled out of an event that was supposed to be hosted in Pakistan due to "security reasons" which is ironic considering violence happens in india frequently too.
This is not politics, its just a security concern. If you know some of the English players didnt tour India after certain blasts.(dont remember which one)
Again, Mumbai Denlhi teror is because the source is from Pakistan and it still can be contained with adequate focussed security . however playing in Pak is a different ball game (pun unintended.. lol) nothing much authorities could do when SL team was attacked. I eblieve that the SL team could have been slaugtered if they wanted, but it seems like they wanted to send a message in that instance and not kill prolly because they have no particular animosity with Lankans. Had it been the english or indian teams, I think we will be having anual rememberance of SRT, rahul dravid by now.
however at some point intl games should resume in Pak. How and when is the question (not if).

right, like attacking Palestinian and Iranians would be great for their cause. or attacking low value sport events. you seem to have all the answers with your " but but India" parity you always seek. Go ask the other countries why they go to India and not Pakistan . Go ask them why outside pakistan nobody considers India have the same parity in terms of terrorism issues like Pakistan. The only people in the world who think India's terrorism problem is at equal foot holding with Pakistan are you folks.

Good...Keep doing more of that and you will prove a point...Though i have my reasons to be a little skeptical about the teams involved and the face value of the tournaments as such but at the end an international tournament is an international tournament...
That is where the problem lies...You guys want to out past behind where as international community(not just India) is not...we have insurgency problems or not is not a factor here...Years after years we have conducted events without any fuss....right now IPL5 is going on..This is the same event which was under the scanner of scum bags for a while....Anyhow let's not divert our attention here...Look this is the same venue where Sri Lankan's were attacked and this is the same venue which was relatively safer than KPK and Balochistan even at that time....I have already explained few points in the post above...Please check it out...
