A quick question...if BCCI needs clearance from Govt. then how did they sign something with PCB?? PCB is right when they complain about BCCI not fulfilling a binding agreement...Am i missing something here??

Also, what does BCCI need permission about: Playing Pakistan or playing her outside of India? If BCCI does in fact need gov's permission, why were they inviting Pak to play in India?

Correct me of i m wrong there was only MOU signed not any agreement between BCCI an PCB, it is not binding on BCCI.

After the ICC gave up control of the FTP, these MoUs is all the two boards do to seal future series. So this is as legal as it's gonna get.

But on a serious note, while I agree that they should pay compensation on ground of equity, I also don't see the point of playing them. Hafeez Sayeed is still at large and so is Dawood.

To be honest, Indian grievances right now against Pakistan are for past transgressions more than the current situation. Army/ISI sponsorship of trouble for India is quite low at the moment, primarily because of involvement in 3 civil wars within Pakistan. One way of looking at it is that this is a good time to re-start dialogue and relations, and make yet another (doomed?) attempt at a working relationship. Another way of seeing it is that any attempt at normalizing relations with Pakistan is an implicit concession that we do not take the prosecution and conviction of those involved in Pak-sponsored terror seriously at all.

But to be very honest, I can't give a definitive answer. Most Indian members on PDF are just normal people, you know. We are not criminal psychologists who can figure out how a delinquent state like Pakistan would respond to anything. Maybe our insistence on prosecution of terror suspects will continue to elicit nuclear threats from your government and civil society. Maybe it is the other way around, and you will finally realize how badly your country has vitiated the atmosphere in South Asia by your delinquent behaviour.

We do not have cold-blooded murderers like Asad Durrani going to interviews and calling the killing of over 100 school-girls in Peshawar as "collateral damage", applauding bomb-attacks against foreign embassies, asking the crowd to applaud the Taliban. Fact is, we simply cannot understand how your nation functions, because it seems to not accept even the lowest commonly accepted concepts of ethics and human behaviour. Only criminal psychologists can understand what goes on in Pakistani minds, and our nation is not run by them.
