India & Pakistan: Pew Global Attributes Report

As per my knowledge, INDO-US relation is India immediate need and INDO-CHINA relation is long term. Basically India has maintain good relation with Russia, USA,china, Arab,East Asia and EU...India is concern of china but not enemy of china..

Chinese businessmen , traders and the specialists involved in key infrastructure development are well looked upon,In Kolkata for instance , there is a huge amount of exchanges between Traders/businessmen and Technicians , however not cultural exchanges. Even though the media in recent times have whipped up conflict scenarios ,the huge amount of interaction with ordinary Chinese people encourages Indians to learn more about them , their culture , think of studying there( medicine seems to be attracting loads of Indian students to Beijing and other places ) and working in firms there

This intermingling is the reason today the man on the street in both countries ( India and China ) view each other in a co-operative and understanding spirit , despite what is shown by the media.

and on the other hand our public perception of Pakistanis is framed by the Mumbai attacks , Lashkar , WOT , suicide bombings etc the dose of which our media houses feed us 24x7 , there were several peace exchanges and people to people interactions initiated in the last 5 years , unfortunately all these efforts fizz out in the end because of some event or other..........

I admire Hitler for his personal qualities, and not his policies, which can take any individual to the pinnacle of success.

1. A great orator.
2. A man who had the ability to shape public opinion.
3. A great debater.
4. A supreme command over words. (Just read mein kampf and you'll know).

I hope this much is enough. For rest, you can PM me let's not go further off-topic.

You do know that for all purposes and appearances, his public image was stage managed? It was one of the most successful propaganda machinery of the Third Reich. Just saying.

IMHO, history is not going to judge Hitler as the leader who took Germany from the defeat of WWI to the pinnacle of military and industrial power to wage and sustain another world war in just a little less than a decade of coming to power. History will judge Hitler for the misdeeds he and his coterie engineered putting a whole generation at shame contemplating at what ghastly acts humanity (oh the irony) is capable of.

I think, it may do you good to change that avatar. I do like your posts, btw.

If you observe the decline in China's popularity in India began in 2005. What could be the reason?

What happened in 2005?

How to strengthen exchanges between China and Pakistan? I have confidence in the future, our trade will grow very fast, 10 years ago and even 5 years ago we can not afford large-scale investment to Pakistan, now have this ability. But now, both the government needs to do something, at least some of the government should do more.

Your media is too noisy. India supports the DL Lama - slave owners representative.

Our support of DL should lead to India's popularity in China declining.

How does this explain the decline in China's popularity in India?

Although I do believe that it is still not too late yet. A few CBM's and avoidance of needling India on pesky issues like Kashmir etc. will go a long way in helping revive China's popularity in India.

you know, denying visas to generals does not help.

Although China is not a big concern to India, in China's official, but because of the increase in the exchange, in private is not the lack of understanding, I mean really know, not your propaganda. There are good and bad, but at least understanding of China with India is increasing. However, a lack of understanding of Pakistan really is in the state, I mean, almost everyone knows Pakistan is an ally, very friendly to China, but over. Probably because we are allies and non-interference policy, the Chinese government to avoid any comments policy to the Pakistan ? This is a good performance, but the same is also blocked exchanges.

Unfortunately, in light of everything I have read, witnessed and experienced, I cannot agree with the characterization of Turkish and Chinese popular opinion as expressed in this survey. I am not sure what "favourable" means... but certainly, a survey across 2,000 or fewer participants would be about as valid (or statistically, even less so), than a similar survey on this forum, which now has over 30,000 members. Perhaps we should double check the claims about Chinese and Turkish opinions by asking members from these two countries whether or not they are "favourable" towards Pakistan, i.e. that they consider Pakistan a friend and think well of it.

Exactly, apart from a few mullahs i have never heard any Pakistani talk about Turkey or China negatively. Stopped reading the "results" after that point.

To PDF, I feel this experience is deepening, and I know almost nothing about Pakistan, returned to China to seek information, in addition to friendly, hardly get any useful information. I mean, is not news, but some detail can enhance understanding of the actual letter, such as the Pakistan national, specialty, and politicians - in addition to the President of Pakistan, and so on, it is too little.

Although some information from non-governmental exchanges, but still less than India, although all are positive, for example, a gaming and animation forum members that have been working in Pakistan. He claimed to be the first Chinese repair PSP, in Pakistan a region . His assessment of Pakistan are friendly, and people are very tolerant and mildness , he believes terrorism is not Islam, but rather some people issue. This is the exchange, even though many Pakistan explosion, bloody news, it can eliminate some misconceptions. But too little. How do we strengthen exchanges, now in such a moment?

Since 2005, China began negotiations and the DL, his "big Tibet" angered all the Chinese people, "big Tibet" in addition to including Tibet, even Sichuan and Qinghai, is very crazy idea, that is one-third of Chinese territory . DL think that as long as there have Tibetan areas, all need to "autonomy", other nations must leave or can not enter these areas, which caused the Chinese people's resentment and anger is very large, of course, India is also included, do not ask me why implicated to India.

As for your media, you know, the news has been more open in China, most of the news about the China threat to India, where there is a message. If you know that China is a threat to India in a roar, and even predicted that war, you liked him?

As for the future, can only say that our relationship is not enough stable, but good communication at least can reduced risk.

I have spoken to quite a few Chinese, as a student I found the Chinese very reserved and hardly spoke anything other than the course work. However my colleagues are a little more open and the survey does make sense to me if you get to talk to them in person. They are non committal, often do not like to express to any opinions on any country. As much as they know China considers Pakistan as a strong ally, they are aware of terrorism from Pakistan as well.

One of my Chinese friend has not been to China for a long time, although one can see pride (rightfully so) in his country's rise he is also equally fair when he talks about what he likes in the US and India. For a common Chinese man, India is an interesting subject purely because the media compares the two economies, so they do end up researching India more often.

Chinese are humble and I would not go by media to understand what they think of one country. Any interaction with them will let you know, they do not overtly support Pakistan like how Pakistani support China. They are fair in their assessment. Oh yes, this is not a survey result, just my personal experience and you don't have to believe me. Opinions differ largely in a world outside defence dot Pak.

agreed. i think most people are like this, politics is not suitable for workplace discussions. politics is for discussion with friends only, and this is true in all cultures - what if you offend your boss?!
