India opposes Pakistan over EU trade concessions

Once again the baby is crying for no damn reason... why don't you just mind you own dam business india.. plus these sort actions are not gona lead to peace then why act as a double agent either do the right thing mind your own damn business and let us be or stick to your hateful ways jerks...

. .
Please don't give more credit to India then we deserve. Also market don't give a damn about India-Pak rivalry....If your products are competative then no one can do anything about it....

Agreed.
:agree:

.
^and what is your response to bangladesh?
Although I dont agree with GOI, I'd like to ask you, why should pakistan get favors (costing others) even though they themselves made a mess of their country and their economy?

Same for bangladesh...
pakistan can get benefits b/c they are fighting the war which not only helps themselves but also in the betterment of Europe. We are suffering economically due to the arrivals of Nato in Afghanistan. They invades our neighbour which ultimately affects us so its their responsibility to get us out from this head ache whether economically or militarily or politically.

Actually if you look rationally it is just you who is spitting out an emotional outburst.....India is doing her biz...i.e. protecting her industry from an unfair competition...b/w India is not alone in this....Also decision is in EU hands

Every one is seeing only India, Pakistan rivalry but not seeing what's the trick played by EU. They are trying to do unfair trade. Pakistan is also asking for trade not aid, but EU & US are not listening to that. We are missing big picture for this. Its a ploy by west. If they want to give aid no one stops. EU is itself struggling economically, so they want products at cheaper rates at the expense of other economies.

Again ...India is not at all objecting to help...This is b/w EU and Pak...However if the help is in the form of reduced tariffs then it directly hurts us....we would be fools to not object to it...

am i missing the big picture??? I am assuming that Pakistan is asking them to reduce tariff so that their exported items can become more competative.....The tariff goes to EU and they will loose some revenue by giving Pan an exception, no????

You are right in your part and we are right in our economical threats are concerned.
We dont need aid for help we want trade to boost our industry and economy.
Its all about EU, whatever is better for them they will do at the cost of anyone.
You should object it and I suppose we should not be angry on that but what we can do is to do some talks with India and Bangladesh to help us in this matter and we will accomodate in other areas.

What i get from his analysis is, sometimes we can boost us to destroy others and what he trying to say that EU may allow us to compete and lower their revenue but in return they kicks out india and others for compettition. As india is one of the competitor to them economically.

Sorry...but i am not getting the point.....India is competitor to EU???? b/w how about if India increase the tariff on EU products??? Trade wars are detrimental to all and this is not how the international trade works......Pak asked for concessions on tariff in lieu of their economic woes, it is not the other way.....right???

Anyways let me see what he has to say....

he is not there so I can try.
You know the upcoming wars are fought through economically too.
If India wants to increase the tariffs they can do that but they would certainly make sure that the people of India has the tendency to purchase those products on high prices or they have the guts to limit themselves to not buy those products or if EU should allow India to increase the tariffs then they should know that there is no competitor in the indian market that competes us in India.
Its all about recent economic situation and demand.

Entire world is a market. Products from every corner reach every market in search of consumers. It concerns the whole world, not just EU and Pakistan. Concession aided cheaper products of Pakistan will compete against the levied ones from other countries; it is completely unfair.

India, however, continues to be in the forefront of a group of nations opposing the move which needs not just approval of the European Parliament but also the WTO.

.
We already have tight competition with pakistani manufactures on textile exports, with pakistanis having a slight upper hand.Any tarif concession to pakistan will badly affect our exports.Pakistan should compete with india and bangladesh in open market-trying to get tariff and trade concessions by claiming the status of "least developed nation"(when clearly it is not)is not a fair business practise.

You mean to say the talk is about the market in Pakistan? I think it is about a unilateral concession for Pakistan's products in the EU markets. Hence the protectionist protests from textile producing EU members.
