India opposes Pakistan over EU trade concessions

There is a news in urdu newspapers that Gov is serious to declare india the Most Famous nation i.e. inregards with trade. But if this gov has any sense then they better reconsider it because of Indian opposition for our EU trade access.

Every country will try to protect its own interests. Bangladesh is also opposing but people highlight India more to drive relations back to square one.

Bangladesh's opposition can be understood because its going to affect its textile industry but on the other hand India is opposing it because the concession will boost Pakistani economy a bit .

BD is a small country and it may strive for giving boost to its main industry unlike India which is not going to be affected by this in a big or even small way but as always being a narrow minded hate filled country towards Pakistan, India will always try to harm Pakistan in every sector

Anyway those who think Bharat can be friend of Pakistan are highly mistaken.

what prejudice, India also has a textile industry....we care about our interests before others.....if you have good product then compete rather that beg for " least developed country status"....i ve seen members claim that Pakistan does not have as many poor people, you guys dont have slums while indians are poor and live in slums....surely you then are not least developed vis -a vis India....when India then falls under the developing nation category...then how come you guys want such a low status....are your products that crappy that they cannot compete for trade?

^^ Does India want a prosperous Pakistan? Yes. But, surely it cannot come at the cost of India's prosperity and well being of it's people. The EU is claiming to help Pakistan, but actually it will be India, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Peru and other textile exporters to the EU who will be paying the cost of this help. To be more precise, textile workers in these countries will be paying for EU's so called help to Pakistan. So, this aid is actually from the pocket of people who cannot afford it (maybe the Chinese textile employees can).

I ask a question to the people who are calling out India and other countries opposition to the duty free access as an anti-Pakistan act; Would you not protest if you had to give your needy neighbor part of your salary to pay for his rent, when the credit for this help goes to your landlord as he is forcibly taking it from you as aid for the needy renter, and when your own family will suffer the consequences of this act?

The EU method of helping Pakistan is by forcing these affected countries to indirectly aid Pakistan and the EU just wants to take the credit for it. In the system set up for global trade, this move is unfair and deserves to opposed.

India wants to see a prosperous Pakistan but just not by stealing its bread. Any other way we will support. I feel like Pakistanis are deliberately ignoring the reasoning most Indians are giving out here. Its like blackmailing, either you agree to us or you are against us. Its just sad.
