Chinese are alone vs the world. India on one side japan on the other. America moving 60% of navy to Asia , ASEAN countries pissed off and even vietnam buying subs.

Add to that a failing economy and manufacturing moving to ASEAN , Brazil , India and semiconductor business moving to USA and possibly India they are finished.

They should make peace and behave more maturely with the world. Best solution for all

Maybe India should allow the Vietnamese troops to protect its borders. As you said, they successfully prevents a Chinese invasion in 1979. But in 1962, India was completely creamed by Chinese troops. So let Vietnamese protect your country with their own weapon to make sure India is safe from invasion again.
