Unfortunately international relations do not work that way.

US opposes Chinese claims in SCS yet it runs $365 billion trade deficit every year. Why? because US & China are part of G2 to counter Russia. Hence Russia would balance every step it takes towards China by supporting India.

By provide India the space & support to counter China, Russia deflects all the negative attention towards India.

India is more than happy with receive support from both US & Russia to counter China.

North Korea... may be we can get some normal trade relations with them ( they have lots of natural resources including rare earth elements ).
But I dont see anything beyond it.

Especially you can see that at present the relations between NK and China are not the best... yet China is making sure that interests of NK are secured.

Further TAIWAN. Talking about technology, that small state is no less capable than France or Germany or whole of China.

Look at the GDP , their reserves.. they are doing immensely well. A strategic relation with TAIWAN will be a huge boost to India.
