Should we get US / China to define what is illegal or we define what is legal and illegal for ourselves ?

We did not sign any document that suggests we should not develop nuclear weapons. How is it illegal?

I have a question for the Indian members here, india considers the NPT to be discriminatory (which it is) so hence it feels as the west and other nations have the right to possess nuclear weapons, hence so should she. Now what would Indians say to say Myanmar or Bangladesh, if they sometime in the future wished to develop such weapons?

Does its neighbours have an equal right to develop and possess WMDs?

Look dude nomater who it is every one will think about his own interest leave it india pakistan china us russia or bangaladesh or myanmar........... think about it, if bangaladesh was a nuclear state and if india was trying to get one or myanmar was trying to get a nuke they will do all possible thing that they can to stop them from getting it so does india and every other country in the world.............. because they loose their strategic Edge no matter who it is they will always make sure their strategic edge is maintained irrespective of which country they are from...........

imagine ur family is at stake (hypothetically) and all depends on u finding a job........... and if there is one job u and ur neighbor are in competing for it what will u do........... will u look to secure ur family.......... or let ur neighbor take the job...................???

If Bangladesh were to decide to develop a WMD program, you expect it not to be independent? Who would help? US/USSR/China/inda WMD program development were all independent.

But what i am trying to get at is "india is in no position to preach to others about non proliferation". It would be hypocritical and exactly how would india “help in stopping proliferation of WMDs”?

this is what the reality is and about proliferation....................
do u think that America UK France Russia And China are the only people who have the right to develop a nuclear weapon............
do u know what the NPT agreement says except for the above 5 mentioned countries no one can develop and test a nuclear weapon and those who have signed the NPT can develop the nuke only for peaceful purpose that is for generation of electricity
and those in the nato and Australia have the nuclear umbrella under which in case they are attacked by any rogue nations or any other nations with nuke they can use the nato or the US nuke to retaliate........ Don't u feel that it is also the bullshit its not just india man this is how the whole world works and this is more likely the survival instinct of the human being.......... All the creatures in this world didnot learn on co-existing with other instead they existed by destroying others........... and establishing their own.......... think about it..................
