India must not politicise cricket: PCB Chairman

Pakistan needs to Stop equating everything with Kashmir, then they will see things moving in right direction. Right from Water (before modi era), to trade with Afghanistan to pushing terrorists into India....
Now when India has just moved one finger, the pakistani cricket board is complaining about it.

.
fact of the matter is , now in india , nobody like to see india-pakistan match.....
we are happy playing with australia , england......thank you!!

.
Scrap it, There is no need for any engagement at any level till the provocations stop.

Good to see that the Modi effect is effective and working, the evidence shows in your frustration!

Provocation? Majority of the time Indian militants always shoot first and recently resorted to attacking a bus AND an ambulance with CLEAR markings. Please tell me whose being 'provocative'.

You may know how big Super Bowl is in the US, right?

But...

Super Bowl XLIX drew 114 million viewers in the U.S. earlier this month, making it the most-watched American TV program of all time.

Well, guess what, America? That ain't squat. When India and Pakistan faced off in the Cricket World Cup on Sunday, nine times as many people tuned in to watch a fierce rivalry that extends well beyond sports. The match, which drew nary a peep Stateside, was estimated to draw at least a billion — a billion! — viewers worldwide.

Well considering that India's population is 1,327,000,000 and Pakistan's is 192,827,000, not to mention all the other regional countries watching, it's not surprising.

The point is the size, scale and the effect of cricket in the subcontinent. Plus the fact that it is Pakistan that is losing out on the market, not India. So it's nowhere near the consequences of the Olympics boycott.

Cricket also creates political issues.

A Pakistani parliamentary delegation has cancelled a visit to India amid a growing diplomatic row over the next Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.

At an auction earlier this week no Pakistani players were chosen to play in the Twenty20 competition in March amid fears they may not get visas.

Ministers and cricketers alike say the outcome was an insult and there were calls to boycott sport ties with India.

Imagine a parliamentary delegation canceling a state visit over cricket. We've basically denied the Pakistani public their biggest entertainment event, followed by banning Pak artists, the second biggest entertainment event, Bollywood.

And as already told by our leaders, war is an option, but it will be exercised after all other options have been exhausted, so...

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan said India should not politicise the game of cricket.

It may be mentioned here that PCB had signed a MoU with BCCI to play six bilateral series between 2015 and 2023. Four of those series were to be hosted by Pakistan and the six tours pending a legal agreement will include up to 14 Tests, 30 ODIs and 12 Twenty20s.

The first of these bilateral series was to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last year in December but it did not happen as the Indian Government didn’t give a green signal to the BCCI for the series.

Recently PCB had also demanded financial compensation from BCCI and ICC for losses incurred due to India’s refusal to play bilateral series against them.

Speaking to media, he said we will not request India to play Pak-India series. “We will have a clear cut talk with India on the matter of the Pak-India series,” he said.

He said India has violated the MoU of Pak-India series.

“Indian government does not want the Indian cricket team to play with Pakistan. Pakistan will present its point of view on the matter in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting,” he said.[/QUOTE]

Dear Mr. PCB jackass, indians are scheming little cry babies and cannot fathom a loss to Pakistan as it devastates the entire country...don't be a beggar & NEVER entertain another series or sporting event with India as there is NO NEED!...I would rather watch PSL or other domestic competitions.....there are plenty of countries we can enjoy competing with in many other sports...so let's move on!

I agree with PCB chairman . Lets separate sports from politics .
