What's new

India moves second 'BrahMos' regiment towards the Pakistani border.

Will be excellent for the Indian Navy especially in deeper waters, it won't take it out Pakistani assets on land.

As far as Navy is concerned, ours would be tasked to defend the coast, you would need to come close to use a Brahmos.

How close does It need to get... err.. 250-300km I guess........ did that become too close...

I guess your Naval commanders in 71 used to think the same way like you while The...
Indian navy used Styx Anti-ship missiles to turn Karachi to rubbles.. Brahmos is about 100 times more powerful.

I would love to your Naval commanders to think like you even now and continue thinking the way you do..

That's because they are probably not that mature yet. Missile cam/entirety of flight video can only prove such a thing.

Moreover nations like Pakistan and China have never been too open about showing off their equipment. They rely heavily upon secret surprises. Remember Babur was not officially announced until it was tested for the 10th time that too the Americans spotted it. CM do not penetrate the upper atmosphere to be detected by Indian equipment.

With the Americans too - we only saw the videos of the Tomahawk 1 when the Tomahawk - 2 had rolled out. Indians too are showing off Brahmos while their real weapon of CM capabilities with a lot of re-work is the Brahmos II.

At best Brahmos is going to be useful to hit a few targets around Lahore, thats why they may be shifting it there. That is if it stops to malfunction.

What makes you Think Indian military reveals Its secrets... Have you seen Brahmos block II performing split S maneuver and hitting a tiny building right in the middle of a dummy town.
Or a steep dive at 3 mach... or selecting target from different targets and hitting the most lethal one ?
Or the missile Hitting targets well beyond 300km and upto 500km in land attack mode ?

India moved its Brahmos along our border, it doesn't mean that Pakistan will sit and watch how you moved. While you thought over moving these items Pakistan already moved nightmarish items at place along your border but announced later.

:-) Fair enough... you won in the D**k measuring contest!

This is an old video and many are of the opinion that none of them really hit and thats why there was a lot of cuts in the video. I want to see one shot where it hits so accurately end to end. They could have put a missile cam while investing in making these videos? Why didn't they?

This missile is crap end of story.. Dumb stupid piece Indians are really stupid to put their money in worthless stuff... Learn from Pakistan please...

IAF will have to contest SPADA which is already deployed in that region and of course PAF Masroor and PAF Faisal will hit you hard. Your planes won't have an easy time contesting SAMs as well as PAF bases.

This isn't 3 decades ago. In Karachi alone you will have to contest with 4 air bases, multiple SAM batteries, Naval Command and its own SAMs

This navy operates, special ops teams, SAM sites, Mirage 5s it won't really let your Navy get close to it.

Brahmos would be fired from 300+ km.
Kh-35U Kayak from 130km
Kh-59 Ovod from 290km
Kh-31 Anti-Radiation from 70+ km
Kh-29 From 30+ km

All exceeding the Engagement range of SPADA..

Indian Navy operates Aircraft carriers and Combat jets like MIG 29K and Sea Harrier.

It's a hard fact - Brahmos is not a respectable weapon as a CM. Some genius 10 years ago decided they can bypass the MTCR and buy an anti-ship missile and convert it into a full blow Cruise Missile and increase range and increase accuracy...

This has has not happened.

Any backup to the so called hard facts?? Or are we supposed to take the admin ranks in defence.pk as a measure of defense technology astuteness.. :disagree:

I love it when Super admins troll the Indian achievements (Hope there are no infractions for repeating a statement)
