Uhh.. isn't this "Pakistan Defence Forum"? So.. shouldn't posts in general be in reference to Pakistan? In other words, why will I start a thread on PDF comparing India to China or to other "countries of equal strength and size"? :blink:

And even then, I did compare India to other BRIC nations. :)

Anyways, India is ranked 49 and Pakistan is ranked 100+. So.. is there any scope for comparison here? :lol:

And the World Bank ranked India 133 and Pakistan 85 for Business.

From the list link -

Rankings - Doing Business - The World Bank Group

"Economies are ranked on their ease of doing business, from 1 – 183, with first place being the best. A high ranking on the ease of doing business index means the regulatory environment is conducive to the operation of business."

It is talking specifically about the government regulatory environment in various countries. And hell yeah, the government regulation in India is messed up.

What was your point again?

If India is so great, then why the hell do you live in the USA? Hell, why are there so many Indian Expatriates all over the world, i mean come on, Isn't india the KING of South Asia? :cheesy:

I agree. If India is the next superpower why did so many indians leave their india and go to different countries, even africa.

:argh:
No Pakistanis dont come to India because for them India is poor country with millions already starving. There is hardly any industry. Thanks to their media.

Ask Bangladeshis....... about 20 million.
Asked IBM which has asked its employees to shift to India if they want to save their jobs.

And these people earn over then and send money back to India..... Dont you know NRI are too much criticized for doing this.. :cheesy:

Well.. according to Wikipedia (the same source as yours), there are 40 million "overseas Chinese".

Overseas Chinese - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Using the same logic, one can argue that since there are many more Chinese living abroad compared to Indians, China is actually inferior to India.

Wait.. a Pakistani saying China is inferior to India?! How is that possible?! :eek:

Is wikipedia also Pakistani media?

Poverty in India is widespread with the nation estimated to have one of the largest concentration of poor people in the world and housing a third of the world's poor. According to the a 2005 World Bank estimate, 42% of India's falls below the international poverty line of $1.25 a day.

The World Bank estimates that 456 million Indians (42% of the total Indian population) now live under the global poverty line of $1.25 per day (PPP). This means that a third of the global poor now reside in India.

So people can remain with the best place to start the business. Condition is people need to have money to start it up at the very elementary level. The state should be stable to attract foreign investors. India has both so attracts foreign investments far greater than our neighbors along with Chinese. Some people need to learn more from Chinese apart from purchasing weapons.

We have poor. Yeah right we have poor but we have economy also to remove the poverty. What about those who have poor and also does not have an economy to support the same. With aid I believe poverty can never be eliminated.

India has more than twice the number of Pakistan's total population living below the poverty line, if india is so great they would've reduced the MASSIVE problem of poverty in their country but it hasn't.

42% of India's population live below the poverty line compared to less than 20% of Pakistan's population living below the poverty line.

Even if you reduced that to half, india still aint rich so quit bragging about your 3rd world developing poverty stricken country.

Still we have more investors and people starting their business to the this poor stricken country. We have all majors with their offices in India. India is called the most preferred destination for outsourcing. At the end of the day though we have poor but we are the most competitive country in S. ASIA better then your 1st world developed economy. And in the current state your economy is nowhere in state to even stand in front of any industrial majors of this 3rd world poor country.
Pakistan GDP = 185 billion
Tata (70 billion)+ Reliance(25 billion) = 95 billion
So two companies of this poor nation for half of your 1st world economy. or should i name the companies for other half also.

:rofl:

Your gdp didn't help the majority of Indians who suffer from poverty, the money only goes to the elite not the common person in India.

Poverty grows in India’s economic miracle

That is becoz World bank has given Pak lot of loans. By these statements they want to encourage companies to come to Pak to do business so that they can recover those loans. how many comes to Pak thats a different story .The ground reality u know better as u live in PAK.. :pakistan::pakistan:

Change your flag to india KUMAR PATEL!

Pak is suffering drone attacks, Blackwater-Xe, WOT, etc. And the others are midgets compared to Bharat (i.e. Nepal, BD, SL, Maldives).

Well, India may just be the most economically competitive country is S. Asia. Let's leave the well deserved victory cup to India. Here's my hope for 2020:

China > USA
India > Germany + France + UK
Pak > Canada + Spain

Well these companies employ
Relaince = 1 million (approx)
Tata = 100,000
To start with

If you look by the figures then we are developing more towards attracting more foreign investments and growing domestic and international market. So more business means more employees. More employees means more jobs. More jobs means more skilled resource. And more skilled resource means more money in the hands of people. And more money in hand means more reduction in poverty. The equation is simple. So these equations are besides the government initiatives.

By the way did you hear about the poor Indian people in slums sold their 7000 homes for 700 crore. And yes we call them poor. Check out today's news.

Anyways poverty of a nation has nothing to do with being competitive. You found out 1 point and you are using it again and again in each thread.

Iam neither kumar or patel . The probelm is with u guys is u cant see a person from muslim country supporting
India. :smitten::smitten::smitten:

I've read our previous posts you are neither Muslim or Kuwaiti...you are 100% Hindu INDIAN...Why are you not proud of being Bharati?

Change your flag to the tricolor bharati flag. Dont you have any bharati pride in yourself that you try to be Kuwaiti?

Indians in the past tried to be all kind of ethnicities, we caught an indian pretending to be South African just recently. Kuwaiti is a first in this forum.

Poverty has a lot to do with being competitive. For starters, how do you expect to be competitive when you are poor? Secondly, you need lots of people with disposable income to buy your product/service.
