'India may have competitive edge over China'

Very bad CD ,:disagree: why would China like to see India disintegrade ?

So basically, you guys can't find even one single copy of the original article?

So many Indian news reports, but no article? Not even a copy that has been pasted on a forum somewhere?

Somehow, I am not all that surprised.

There are many sites out there, that can only be read with a subscription.

Yet there are hundreds of copies of their articles pasted all over the internet every day, and even our very own Pakistan Defence Forum is filled with thousands of such examples.

The more controversial the article, the more copies that are spread around. It is impossible to stop the spread of such articles on the internet.

Yes, and where is the original article? Or a translation of it?

Even if they removed it from the original site, there should be hundreds of copies all over the internet, especially for something so controversial.

But there is not even a single copy to be found anywhere?

May be the article was not translated. It may be found within China, who knows. Rediff.com wouldn't have 'constructed' the story

Kind of a red herring isn't it? I am sure some senior Colonel somewhere did publish this idea of breaking up India and Balkanization etc, but has he been paid the slightest attention by those in power? That's the evidence you should be looking for.

To what extent Chinese academics do pay attention to India, the attitude is one of general disdain. This attitude was studied and documented by western researchers.

Chinese academics and scholars sceptical of India's "great power dream"

It's a whole lecture if you're interested in knowing more.

Chinese scholars perceive India's 'great power dream" and rubbish it at the same time ! we dont have any such dream. Yes, we intend to grow economically and militarily. That may have been perceived as "great power dream" by the Chinese. But we dont intend to throw our weight around unlike some countries

If economy could have been so easy to predicted then the RAND authors themselves wouldn't been doing predictions for you but sulking in wine some where at their own private island.

We will see how India's private enterprises will survive in future. So far so good.

Whatever you call it, it's there.

By the way she's interviewed both Indian and Chinese researchers.

So this from where you feed.

No body give a damn about what rag tag clueless Chinese scholars have to say about India. Indians do not study Mandarin or do not eat noodles like Chinese scholars. Indian have their own way of doing business and different set of challenges to overcome.

India is not China.

The pace we are moving and things we are learning are justifiable to our ability to sustain and capacity to absorb. China should take a chance, do cunning psyops (like the link you posted), invest in destabilizing India via its proxies and over do with its own experiment. India will work its way out with its own wisdom, beat it or envy.

We have nothing to loose.

What truly pisses "China" off is that India is next door. China will never be a dominant Asian power for that simple reason. Another reason to show "disdain" towards India. Indian can have 1/6th of Chinese GDP and yet can spoil the game.

Give us a break china is already the dominant power in asia. i accept that in due course India may rise to the challenge but not at the moment
