But we were never in NATO.
India grew at Hindu Growth Rate earlier. When it became friendly with the US, it grew more than that. Why don't you go back to Russia and ditch the USA, the poor guys helped you so much all along. And then see the tricks happening.
Naah..we liberalized bcs we were bankrupt.
Don't know about Papua New Guinea but Indian companies have operations throughout the world.
Bcs they are operating from Pakistan.
Agreed. But a certain power allowed it to happen because they needed you due to changed geopolitical environment.
There are many who such non-state actors who are being supported by India. You reign them first.
haha.. it is not like we have turned our back on the Russians. They continue to be our allies/friends/business partners. We just increased our area of operation. After all,we will do only that thing which is best for our economy right? Its silly to take relation between two countries in this manner. Its not exactly the same as relation between two people.Relations between countries are primarily based upon mutual benefits, everything comes after that.
Okay,I will give you an analogy, that will make things easier to understand.
Just a few days back I was talking to a friend of mine.He says, that,"I will buy AMD processors because I am an AMD fan and I dislike Intel".I told him,its not like if you love AMD then AMD will love you back. They will still make you pay the MRP,because both AMD and Intel are out there to make some money. So,its best for you to choose the best product within your budget,be it AMD or Intel.Same is the case with the countries. You do that thing which benefits you the most, suits you the best and make that choice which is the need of the hour.
Yes, that power is the GoI. If they decided otherwise in 1991 we could have still carried on with our socialist policies.
Our non-state actors, if there are any, don't sail across to Karachi to create mayhem.
I am not into tech things - sorry did not understand your analogy.
SEATO & CENTO ?
No they move across from Afghanistan into Pakistan, sponsored by your consulates.
It simply boils down to this...you make those decisions which benefits you the most.If US has a huge market and huge demand then we will have trade relations with them, irrespective of you liking it or not.
