What's new

India knocks Russia's door again for FGFA.

It is due to its size and counter-measures . Also, specially with its self protection package, SPECTRA, it makes getting an aim on it really hard.
This is not stealth ... Rcs of f16 and thunder are even smaller ... Self protection package of all top line fighter aircrafts have its own strengths and weakness ... Can you please share the basis of claim that spectra's self protection is better than f16's block 60 ...

Don't come with a crap that you selected Rafael over F16 it means its the best ... We all know that Rafael won as it was better strike platform than F16 and TYphoon and French's allowed you to carry your nuclear missiles on Rafael which Americans were not allowing ... Your prime requirement was to get a nuclear strike platform and that's why Rafael won ...

Rd 93 is in use since 1st FC-1 what's new in this..
MI deal is also age old..Keep.burnol stock for own use..SU 35 aane wale hain !! @Zarvan
Whats the point ? Even if they are old we are getting those as you are getting close to US, RUssia is opening up to Pakistan ...

SU35 is a different issue ... Both countries do not trust on each other to go for front-line weapons ...

I. Replying to your particular post which is incorrect ...
I agree on tempest being 5.5 but 6th generation fighter aircrafts are not going to be hypersonic ... Mig41 is attack aircraft at max that is to counter something like blackbird ... Hypersonic planes cannot fly within atmosphere and cannot be a fighter aircrafts as they will be huge in size, will be much hot for heat seaking weapons and cant be stealthy ...
6th generation key characteristic are
pilot less fighter aircraft
capable of extreme manuver i.e. much higher than 9Gs and
much more integrated battle space like aegis system ...
AI aid to pilots (even if it is in drone mode)
Use of energy weapons ...

There was nothing wrong in what I said. It is just ADA's definition. There are no red lines to how you define a generation anyway. For example, the F-35 lacks some features of the F-22 which was originally defined as 5th gen, like supercruise and super manoeuvrability.

So some aircraft may lack some features, but countries will still choose to call it whatever generation they want. Like the Chinese system, which is one generation below for what is essentially the same type of aircraft.

What ADA calls 5.5th gen, the Brits call 6th gen. The overall features of the AMCA and Tempest will be similar anyway.

Those were mostly commercial loans taken by non government companies in India AND NRIs investing their money in India. Actual government loans in dollars are very less of order of 100 billion or so. That against 400 billion of forex reserve is actually not even worth mentioning. BTW, wrt Pakistan, the situation is totally opposite. ALL of the debt is held by government. Also, India has worked to make its company's bankruptcy law simpler. So if a private company goes belly top, it will be easier to liquidate its assets to recover its debt. Unlike Pakistan or Srilanka, India will not have to sell a port to China to pay its debt.

Hope it educates and enlightens you!

There, there, keeping patting your own back. Well done, shabaash.

Are you suggesting that everyone, including Pakistan. Should beg like India?
Well only one who begs in international military arena is Taiwan --if you can even call it a country that is. They are existing only because of US alms and protection. Otherwise they will disappear faster than a paper in the sea.
