Yeah thats it.....we need huge FDI. Japan is helping us in building Delhi-Bombay Industrial corridor worth 80billion 4 and a similar kind of project in South...Also i think India will be more interested to talk about about civil nuclear rather than China...

I hope China and India resolve their issue because India has plans for 500 billion $ investment in infrastructure like roads, railways, power plants, ports, airports etc....I think Chinese companies can play a bigger role than Japanese because after-all you are just next to us and everyone knows your success in infrastructure...This will benefit both nations.

I feel Japan needs India to take care of its Supply of food, oil and Trade. 80% of Japenese Trade and Oil passes through the Straits of Malacca. Japan imports 90% of its food requirements. Their Constitution bars their Armed forces to do anything else than defence. They want guaranteed safety of supplies. They may depend on the Indian Navy

Its the US navy that reign supreme in the Indian Ocean. It will be the US Navy that guarantee freedom of the sea lanes for Indian, Chinese and Japanese ships. This include the whole Indian Ocean and the straight of Malacca. Its too early for the Indian navy to replace the role of the US navy and for the Japanese to rely on Indian navy. If US withdraw from the Indian ocean region, I can see Japan build up its navy and it can be an important presence in the Indian Ocean area. this is even with the restrictions on their constitution.

CT we are not saying we are in love with Japan and we hate China..
I look upon China and Japan as our cousins. But there has to be sincerity in Chinese govts actions towards friendship with India. The blow hot blow cold attitude makes us suspicious.

I am sorry, but why should anyone need a bandwagon to realise that the nation denying a visa to our Army Commander from visiting Beijing on a military to military CBM beacuse he was the Northern Army commander whose jurisdiction included J&K. Or a nation issuing stapled visas to kashmiris and people from AP or a nation which went out of its way to encircle India, could not possibly by a friend of India.

Having said that, I will admit that Indians owe a lot to Japan. Japan's investments in India are phenomenal. This has nothing to do with China. India needs FDIs and Japan is one of the foremost donor nations in the world. China really does not figure in this equation.
