India & Japan start crucial dialogue with eye on China

Straight Talk, China does not worry about Japan-India relationship.
For example, What is India can do about Japan in Diaoyu Islands issue? What is Japan can do about India in Kashmir issue?

Who cares about Diaoyu Islands? Let the Chinese and Japanese fight for it an die. It's non of our concern.

We want the $200 Billion committed by Japan to invest in India's Infrastructure.

I feel Japan needs India to take care of its Supply of food, oil and Trade. 80% of Japenese Trade and Oil passes through the Straits of Malacca. Japan imports 90% of its food requirements. Their Constitution bars their Armed forces to do anything else than defence. They want guaranteed safety of supplies. They may depend on the Indian Navy

to arm itself against a hostile China and get back the islands that China is flexing its governance over.. move its business( no1 trading partner) to india which they on schedule to do.

what you read above is typical chini mentality --- thats why they will someday maybe garner no 1 gdp status , but have no more than a hole in wall status in the world. they think on how to muscle in on neighbors while the US developed an alliance. they create enemies while US created friends and did not have to worry about being surrounded by hostile neighbors

I am sorry, but why should anyone need a bandwagon to realise that the nation denying a visa to our Army Commander from visiting Beijing on a military to military CBM beacuse he was the Northern Army commander whose jurisdiction included J&K. Or a nation issuing stapled visas to kashmiris and people from AP or a nation which went out of its way to encircle India, could not possibly by a friend of India.

Having said that, I will admit that Indians owe a lot to Japan. Japan's investments in India are phenomenal. This has nothing to do with China. India needs FDIs and Japan is one of the foremost donor nations in the world. China really does not figure in this equation.

India and japan needs to work closely....this will benefit both the countries.....and would ne great if it is done without any regard to china...I mean China should not be a reason for India and Japan to work closely.

^^Yet it issues diplomatic demarchs when malabar exercises are held.
And the only reason why you can say this is because Indian govt have been defensive on dealing with your country's policies vis a vis South asia. I think India should take more of a proactive approach to China and make some pearls around China as well. I am sure as hell that not so many countries have a good view of China.

I wont comment against my fellow countrymen. However, I do not believe this visit is inspired by China or the Chinese threat to either country. This is economics, pure and simple.

India, Japan and USA cooperation in Eastern Asia, will nulify any threats China can pose to anyone, hence making it a safer region for all.

Ask any Japanese people, They will tell you: the most political needs of successive Japanese govt is country-normalization.
So Japan and India can not cooperate in the political. Of course, Because of your simple-minded, You do not know why...
