Beware that India's capital is only about 400km away from Chinese territory. And China will be able to launch thousands of missiles and long range rockets into your populated area within minutes. What's India going to do? Fire 1 or 2 missiles into Tibet to kill some mountain goats?

Are you guys talking about ballistic missiles or rockets?If its ballistic missiles then a launching of ballistic missile will send all kinds of wrong signals to the world..because no body will know it carries a conventional weapon or non-conventional bomb.it will only invite more international pressure on launching country and also the doctrine is about full thrust assault on the border if attacked by China or Pakistan..So missile attack only make the doctrine operational..

Yes you are right. China does not possess 400 km long range rockets but has DF-4 (CSS-3): silo based and semimobile, 5,550–7,000 km range ICBM. Can it reach enemy territory if launched from China's Harbin city?
