India is always comparing herself with China

Comparing oneself to someone else always show inferior complex. Yes we should understand ourselves, both advantages and disadvantages versus others, but not the kind of India vs. China comparing which have been appearing on India mainstream media for years.
Vietnamese people, despite being still pretty poor, very rarely bother to compare ourselves to anyone, either Thailand, China or Korea. You would never find an article like Vietnam vs. Korea etc.
Indian, be proud of yourselves and stop comparing to China. And then, you may gain more respect from other countries.

China is much more advanced than us and we want to work harder to over shoot them hence the comparision...it doesn't harm anybody.

Indias comparison with China is due the fact that we appreciate the thing they do. We look upto them on everyfield and say " if China can , then why not us".. Its good that we have China to compete. China's policies heavily influence ours in many sectors.

Somebody suggested the name Brasil. Brasil was placed in 20 th position in an Indian survey on most powerful nation list. It is common that people look up to compare , not down.

What’s wrong in comparing with others?? comparison provides many vital statistics like weaknesses, advantages with others ,which can be utilised to improve self.
yes,we compare ourselfs with Chinese & by comparing with them we learn what is our weakness & how could it be mend.

Comparisons are fine, if it is for a constructive purpose.

However, Indian comparisons to China are so often filled with hatred and scaremongering.

So I can understand why many Chinese people would feel uncomfortable with it, when you have Indian media headlines screaming about a future Sino-Indian war.
