Comparisons are fine, if it is for a constructive purpose.
However, Indian comparisons to China are so often filled with hatred and scaremongering.
So I can understand why many Chinese people would feel uncomfortable with it, when you have Indian media headlines screaming about a future Sino-Indian war.
Pakistanis feel more uncomfortable than Chinese !! even this thread is started by a Pakistani !!
Pakistan are our allies, it is good if they feel concerned for us.
That makes sense. But why can't Pakistan do the same thing about their own country ? Are they filling the void in Pakistan by the achievements of China? Will Pakistan get a share of China's foreign exchange or its growth rate by being its ally?
Clearly, Pakistanis need to get a grip and realise that China is an ally but Pakistan will be on China's good books as long as it does not become a liability. With the ever growing economic concerns in Pakistan and extremism engulfing in all walks of life, Pakistan should be worried about itself. In this game only Pakistan can help itself.
I dont think India should be comparing herself.. (indians) to anybody..
There is NO other phenomenon in the world such as India..
How can you compare??
No, surely not a crime. But it show India is weak country, both physically and mentally.
Then why not emulate a place like Japan or Switzerland?
If India was as small as Hong Kong ,maybe yes
The actual size of countries is not that much of an issue.
China (both the mainland and Hong Kong) were inspired by places like Singapore.
Even though Singapore is smaller than both China and Hong Kong.
Did the Singaporeans complain that China is always comparing with us ?
BTW as usual a stupid thread from Hafizzz.
Not the same situation.
China and India are rivals, with an active border dispute.
It is fine to compare. Its within our human nature to do so. We do it, family does it, countries does it. There is nothing wrong with it. So long no one is harmed in the process and there is no ill itentions then it's fine to compare.
If you do not compare with oneself then you will not modernize and grow.
So arent rivals allowed to compare each other?
