India and Afghanistan's new governments have had their highest level meetings so far. India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has met President Dr Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah, ex-President Hamid Karzai and his Afghan counterpart - NSA Hanif Atmar. In New Delhi, Afghanistan's Interior Minister Umer Daudzai spoke to NDTV on the political, security and economic transition his country is going through. Outlining the elements needed to make this transition successful, he said India is Afghanistan's all-weather friend.

Pakistan should expell all afghans from Pakistan.

.
As an Iranian, I would welcome India with open arms to take a more assertive and influential role in Afghanistan.
India is very welcome here.

. . . . .
Pakistan should send all Afghan refugees to India....this would help to further strengthen the all weather friendship

.
The bottom line is that India is a necessary actor for containing the destabilizing influence Pakistan has on Aghanistan.
Normally I am not for India-Pak rivlary, but in this case, I welcome India to spread their power to Afghanistan. :)

thanks for answering my question my question below
and dispelling the obnoxious claim
So you'd advice the same things to the proponents of all Sino-Pak 'all weather'/'higher than ocean'/'deeper than mountain' friendship?

???

Where is India popular, in Afghanistan or Iran or in both countries. Only regret pakistanis have is that we gave 5-6 million afghans shelter and helped then, also now there are millions of afghans in Pakistan which have pakistani id cards etc. Creates problem, have arms and do drug business and are involved in crimes here.

If they are so glad in India, Afghans should applied for asylym in India , not Pakistan.

Baapri
And I thought that Pakistanis saw Afghans as their brothers.:smart:

Yes, our elder sees Afghans as their brothers, but the feeling is not the same on the other side of border.

Once next generation runs Pakistan, things will hopefully change, and no pak-afghan brother.......

cheap imitation of Pak-China friendship

but as they say , imitation is the best form of flattery :P

Implying the Northern Alliance is better than Taliban.

what was India doing during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan?
India did the right thing , by opposing the capitalist Afghan jihad, Pakistan did the wrong thing by aiding the mujahideens that's a given

see even though Pakistan has immense influence on Afghanistan nonetheless Pakistan & its Army is extremely hated there, & the unfortunate part is that Pakistan, had the opportunity to learn from India's own experience, take Bangladesh for example India helped free it & has immense influence there, but still India & its Army it extremely hated there, that is because it is the natural reaction of a people ,when countries interfere in other country's affairs they get hated.
that being said Afghanistan also should have respected Pakistan's territorial integrity & should not have promoted separatism in KPK & Baluchistan, by playing the Pashtunistan card, they literally invited Pakistan's interference, just like Bangladesh invited India's, by promoting separatism in India's North East & playing the greater Bangladesh card
