The Indian Council of Medical Research has advised all states to discontinue the usage of rapid test kits for the next two days after some of them were revealed to be defective.

The council is sending teams to validate kits already in use so they can assess which ones are faulty and trace them back to the manufacturers.

Raman R Gangakhedkar, the head of the council, said positive samples were showing "too much variation" and required investigating.

The rapid testing kits were deployed in India last week. The health ministry has repeatedly said that the kits should be used only for surveillance and to determine epidemiological trends.

India had tested a total of 462,621 samples from 447,812 individuals as of April 21, according to the council.

You can rest assured our dear Indian friends will be getting enough of PPE supply, they are airlifting 220 tonnes of them from China:china:
According to a high level Indian "Anonymous sources", those 220 cargo of medical essential will be including "life saving Used undies face masks along with Concentrating cow dung, urine etc, so all is well:super:

This is old misinformation. India have already started re-using the rapid test kits.

Here's my old post regarding this misleading issue.
No,ICMR initially said they will conduct field investigation for two days and then decide if they will call for replacement.
ICMR never said the Chinese rapid test kits were faulty.

The chances are indian lab workers don't knew the full procedures or were not up to the task ,since ICMR recently said: “ln view of this, states are advised to follow the prescribed protocol for these tests and use them for the purposes for which they are meant."- clearly indicating the indian lab workers fked it up.

ICMR also reiterated the prescribed protocol that
“ the tests are to be used only as a surveillance tool for Covid-19".- Basically warned against use of RTKs as primary mean for virus detection.

“These test results are also dependent on field conditions,”.- Acknowledged the result depends on the capabilities of the lab and the lab technicians.

Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Livzon Diagnos the concerned suppliers here are FDA & CE approved and of universal standard.

No health ministry in the world has claimed Chinese rapid test kits were faulty, rather most rebutted their media's faulty claims. So, is India some special leader in this field?

Experts said that inaccurate results may reflect testing methods rather than the technology itself, as similar manufacturing techniques are used by Chinese companies and their foreign counterparts.

The more incompetent and lacking the labs and lab workers are,the higher will be the inaccuracy, don't blame china for that.

:sick:Indians will definitely feel relieved:bad::bad: -"Used undies face masks along with Concentrating cow dung, urine etc, so all is wel"

The first incidents of Coronavirus were detected in Wuhan as early as December 2019. That city was in lockdown mode since January 1st week. India's BJP government under Narendra Modi had at least two months to prepare for this crisis: January and February. But as late as February 25, they were too busy sucking up to Donald Trump in a stupid event, inciting communal riots, and protecting the "goli maaro" BJP leaders. Instead they should have spent the two months arranging the supplies, preparing contingency plans, etc. In fact, doing what the state of Kerala did. They have managed to keep the infection rate so low because of community vigilance and advanced preparation. Even WHO has certified Kerala's response to the pandemic. Excellent job. This is what happens when a large number of literate and highly educated people run the show, you can control the pandemics.

What happens during a pandemic when an illiterate jahill gawar like Narendra Modi are in charge? The infection rates shoot up, of course.

The political leadership taking the decisions in India are illiterate, low IQ monkeys which also includes the Prime Minister Narendra Modi (his entire cabinet is full of uneducated buffoons.) Of course, the Chinese succeeded in selling us the ineffective testing kits (keeping the good ones for their own citizens). Good for the Chinese, and sucks for us. We deserve to pay the price for electing these idiots.

Indian labs and lab workers will always produce defective results. The fault isn't with the test kits.

The test kits crom china was also CE certified and nowhere inferior to any other country's test kits.
In fact ,the Chinese test kits proved to be some of the most accurate based on research.
