I think both countries have astro truff since long, as it is very fast so stamina and physical fitness counts.
Control of ball was real art on grassy fields as compared to astro truff and that was the real flare which was discarded after wishful thinking by west.

Exactly, and that is the hope right there, if a nation of a billion people can struggle for 38 years for even qualifying for a tournament but atlast gets a silver out of it, we should not loose hope either. After all this is the tournament that we created and won 3 times.

does it matters how much time we took to qualify ?

what matters is how you performed after you qualified same as once we were able to get three times gold medal in olompics in hokey but deu to over stubborn beurocracy and lack of enthosisasm we lost it but what matters is how are we performing in present past might be great or bad but what matters is present and your efforts to make future better
