What's new

India Developing, but still a long way to go

Delhi Metro = Sexy Metro

Mumbai Local Maal = Super Dense or Ultra Crush Load Desi Maal, check:
-mega, 12-15 car rakes

tn_in-mumbai-suburban-emu_01_30e50e2fd4.jpg

Local+Train-2.jpg

Ironic that Punjabdos, Northern India Jats, Sikhs and other bigger boned Indians travel in tinny, frenchie style 4-6 rake Delhi Metro while the real pulse of India beats to locally made super sized and ultra long desi rakes.

Good news: both growing. Double-decker Mumbai locals, double platforms are the need of the hr. Innovation anyone?

I may be completely off kilter here, here's an idea.
  • Labor is affordable. Is this viable, is it a value-able idea?

  • If Mumbai's lifelines were to be re-located off-shore on shallow waters. Underground or over the sea; by way of rail track re-development by way of en-cashing land assets; it would pay for itself with value to spare.
