WELL WHEN PEOPLE HERE APPRECIATE THE HEIGHT OF THE BUILDING RATHER THAN ITS DESIGN, HERE IS A FACT TABLE OF THE TALLEST BUILDINGS IN INDIA

This list of tallest buildings in India ranks skyscrapers in India based on official height.
Most of the high rise buildings in India are in the commercial capital Mumbai. In traffic engg., we say through-put is optimised with 'Batch Processing' re: above post.

This thread shows what is possible in South Asia if the govt. gets out of the way.

Something juicy and kooky:

No offense, but thankfully none of the projects are fancy type like old time Taj Mahal, Victoria Memorial, New Delhi Secretariat, Gateway of India or Qutab Minar. I'm happy that almost all the glass, steel and tar is 100 % functional and done with pvt. investments to return value and book profit. So more likely; like so:

Most of the stuff is privately developed including the airport reno jobs. Since liberalization, privatization and un-shackling of the economy are new to the sub-continent; and with the cowboy capitalism type mid-east and east Asia economies throwing up huge national surpluses (Dubai over did it and is a notable exception), it stands to reason that things will pick-up even more in the coming yrs. re: Globalisation of capital and investment flows and pent up demand in South Asia. So this thread is more of a sustainable platform, an experiment, a spring board, a precusrsor of what the future holds. Good stuff!
