That building, not the intersection is named after the Kohinoor diamond; notice the faceted edges on the facade. FYI, the developers are looking to open a 5 star hotel within the building, and it's going to have quite the spectacle of a rooftop bar.

Bangalore's economy is all labour union, govt's public sector mess.
BEL, BEML, HAL, ITI, NAL, HMT, ISRO, Govt. labs like DRDO, auto manufacturing, agriculture, mining, real-estate etc.
Reverting to the above equation and statement, there are 1.25 million families approx. and about 1 million IT jobs alone. Amazing!
Also, Bangalore is fast catching up to regionalism. Bangalore is starting to dislike outsiders. That usually means Bihari's, Bengalis and Bhaiyyas. That's out of this world. Hyderabad, Pune and Gurgaon are also in the same range.
