I think of Gujarat and Marwar as part of greater Rajputana, I'm old fashioned. While contest, argumentation and challenge remain Congress's gifts to Indians; I say listen to Modi. Modify your thinking. Unite, Marwar-Gujarat-Parsi-Sindhi, same thing. Context being Mumbai, from Ottawa. Focus on the mega supertall idea, not regionalism-casteism-religionism and their baby fundamentalism !

What sins did delhi do to have airport metro in reliance hands?That thing is now in severe loss

Actually this is not true any longer, the Airport express of the Delhi Metro is now run and owned by the DMRC, Reliance has no part in the line now- thank god! Since gaining ownership of the Airport line, DMRC have increased the frequency of trains and the revenue on the line.

What I don't understand is that Reliance does seem to f*ck up every project it gets involved in- why does any state govt allow the to bid? I'm guessing they are able to keep winning these contracts because they quote significantly less then their competition.


I have to agree, I am pretty dubious of Reliance and the Mumbai Metro as a result, even those trains that Reliance has ordered from China are pi$$ poor quality when compared to pretty much every other Metro in India- Reliance trying to cut corners like this is pretty disappointing. The finical capital of India deserves better....

Not only the trains are cheap quality,Absurdly high rates are kept by reliance and that's why their projects fail.In delhi metro for 50 km you pay rs.30,and trains are better.Take a look at the newly inaugurated metro in mumbai,for 11 km, they are asking 40rs!

I'm thinking, like Turkey, India can be like this in real give it 10 good yrs. of modification, no big deal. Perhaps, that's the thing ... every 2'nd hot-shot real-estate mega project comes with helipads and technically speaking, 2-3 local Co.'s either make, part-make, or pitch or sell helicopters. My thought is that a 1/2 dozen IT Parks, 1/2 dozen hardware e-assembly parks, 1/2 a dozen steel related metal fab. park, a dozen large call centers and a few industrial local parks can transform any medium size Asian city. India looks set to get there fast, and may take-over said industry verticals.
