Logic?

The bottom module is tri-furcated.

Smaller module next to parking is resettlement low-rise building module.
The 40 storey module is the for profit wherein the bottom 20 are apt.'s for ... hehe ...
Indian Railway style 'high-class' while the top 10 double suites are for "Palace of Wheels" class.

Love Mumbai's business-is-business ethic, even with all the muckraking politics of today.

this project is simply amazing 2 years ago we bought a 3 bhk apartment in lotus panache ,though only 60 % of the construction work had been covered till now ....and in the span of of just two years the price per sq ft is almost doubled ,sold out long ago ..
Man, what change!

In the 80's visit's to Bua-ji across the Yamuna was a proper hassle.

Then the Japanee's funded a bridge. In 10 yrs., the DND flyaway came up. Another 10 yrs., this Yamuna Expressway (funny they haven't yet re-named it to Yadav, or Gandhi x-way; I say name it for an Olympic medallist).

Amazing to see such phenomenal infra. in place BEFORE ppl. moving in. Normally, it's the other way around by far in Inida. First an area gets fully ghettoised. Only then vote catching politicians jump in, tear the place apart and put in some water, sewage lines and some road.

With this rehab buildings right next to these ultra posh apartments I wonder how safe it will be. Am not trying to be a "classist" or anything but putting super rich people right next to slum and chawl people with such disparity in wealth can't be a good idea :confused:

On the 'i' way to learning
Aug 14, 2012

The leaky roof with dripping rain water does not distract Pushpa, Prashanti, Sivamma, Swapna, Sameena, Rihana and Ashok, all children from a village school that looks like any other in rural India, from what they are doing: paying close attention to their teacher. But what makes the setting different is how they are learning — through i-Slates.

These students from Mohammed Hussain Pally of Ghanpur Mandal in backward Jadcharla of Mahbubnagar District in Andhra Pradesh, wield their stylus like a magic wand, brimming with creativity and secure in their knowledge of the worldwide web. Situated 116 km away from Hyderabad, the village school, tucked away between hillocks and what was once a Maoist bastion, has clearly transformed the lives of young children with new-generation learning solutions.

Pandha Narasimha, a farmer, watches his daughter Sirisha 'etch' his name and take his picture on the webcam with barely concealed joy. “I do not want her to know of my farm debts; let her study and she will bring me joy,” he says with a glint in his eyes.

The i-Slate has been a hit says Pingali Rajeswari, a descendant of Pingali Venkanna (who designed the National Tricolour), who has brought the fruits of technology to this remote village. Rajeswari adds: “After all, India lives in its villages; they (rural folk) only watch urban India grow. Let the talent bloom from rural India too.”

With the i-Slate in their hands, the school children are into web designing and have shunned the television. Says Srinivas, a teacher in the school: “They take the i-Slate home to do their homework. The i-Slate has a software that shows how much time they had spent on a particular subject at home.”

The school has also installed a small solar panel over the roof that charges the i-Slates. Having learnt to conserve energy, the students, Srinivas says, are very eager to find a solution to stop their i-Slates from heating up. Looks like the ‘i’ in i-Slate really stands for intelligence.

^^^

@Roybot, only Indian politics throws up such paradoxes.

If I was a rehab type in that module, I would sell and bail out fast;
it's not like it's anyone's baap-daada'a zameen or zaidaad; n'est pas.

Rehab ppl. are nothing but proxies for crimino-politicians (did I just coin a new one ?)

The money from the resale goes to the boss and recycles into the builder mafia;
the so-called rehab proxy (me) ends up recycling the scheme by relocating to yet another slum.
Circular, yes?

No, opportunity is what it is; said circular, layered 'progress' can eject anyone in an escape velocity out of the circle; usually into a higher orbit given the progress all around. Indian ishtyle ;) .

I have to say Ahmmeddabd's BRTS is probobly the nicest,most well thought out,most innovative BRTS's I have seen anywhere in the world and should be emmulated by other cities in India looking to set up BRTS. Delhi BRTS could learn a thing or two from them.
