2000 what? Rape or murder? Even Pakistani official figure is 30000 death. Even Pakistani lover Indian writer Sharmila base said that death could be nearly 50 thousands to 1 lakh. then why you are holding such extreme view!

However a Bangladeshi atheist Dr Ahmed sharif said in an interview that this murder number were two and half lakh. And Bengali was 1 lakh and non Bengali was 1.5 lakh.It was actually claimed by journalist Nirmal Sen. Mr sharif just stated this to interview taker.

However I slightly disagree with him, as since your non Bengali side was attacker so probably more Bengali were killed than non Bengalis.

And what if even only 2000 was murdered ( for the sake of argument with you) as you claimed? Still it's murder and for this Pakistan 195 pows and all rajakars deserve death penalty. Even if this murder is only one by many. Murder is always murder and murderes deserve capital punishment. Few numbers of murder do not justify this crime.

However let's not push it further. What happened has happened.It's been 48 years, so no reason to hold extreme opinion on it or even no need to think about past. Let's move on. It's better for both of us ( Bangladesh and Pakistan).

And if disagreed they shut people by calling razakar and prolong their agenda. They turned out every kinds of injustice in the name of 71 war. They made their absurd claims unqustionable. BDs need to question everything. BDs need wide level of consciousness about those turn of events and not stop in 71 but understand every events occured after 1757 etc. Have to understand extreme chetonabadi Bengali nationalists are actually Hindus, they take pride in their birth from Shiv Buddha etc. They cant associte to BD that much, as they think BD identity is temporary. So Bengali nationalsts sould be kept at bay. GDP figure is okay. But nobody questions about the corruption, joblessness and less arms acquisition etc. When there is a uncontrollable situation occurs in BD, all of sudden bombs and jongis come to divert people's attention. Lol. And BD armed forces not taking a fight isnt new. We have to understand Battle of Palassey, Battle of Buxer etc and retrospect the situation.

DHAKA: Thirty Bangladeshis returned home through the Jakiganj border in Sylhet on Thursday (July 26) after languishing in Indian jail ranging from two to 23 years.

Additional police superintendent of Karimganj in Indian state of Assam, Devajit Nath, and police inspector Wakil Ahmad handed over them to Jakiganj Land Port’s immigration officer Rafiqul Islam and Jakiganj Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mizanur Rahman.

After the transfer process, the police handed over them to their relatives. Many got tearful when they got to their dear ones.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Jakiganj Circle) Sudipta Roy told reporters that Bangladeshis who repatriated from India have been served jail terms ranging from 2 to 23 years.

He said many of them have long been sentenced for not knowing the exact identity of the detainees. Later, the process of repatriation has begun after confirmation of their identities through the Indian High Commission.

Of the 30 Bangladeshis who have returned, four from Comilla, two each from Sylhet, Cox's Bazar, Natore, Faridpur, Kurigram Netrokona, Panchagarh and Chuadanga, while One each from Bogra, Brahmanbaria, Pabna, Satkhira, Chandpur, Mymensingh, Khagrachari, Jamalpur, Dinajpur and Khulna.

We fail to empower our identity as Bangladeshis. You are right about arms acquisition, it is piss poor low. Even UK has more arms acquisition, where BD is a *more lawless nation.
