India declines to give Dhaka corridor

Why so cheap... only 4 taka?? that is like 2 rupees. We in south India are paying average 5 to 10 rupees per unit.

india is not selling electricity from Tripura, india lied about that to get transit through Bangladesh. And to cover up that lie, india spreading another lie that electricity from july. India ZERO credibility so predictable that you indian spin has no taker.

India is not crazy to allow a transmission line through its air going to an Islamic state!

Bengalis need to do something in return.. which profit hindus 100 folds more.

We will be happy with 2 fold increase. Just pay 8 taka per unit. We are not that greedy. ;)

we shouldn't help the GoI anymore then, this is a proof that, they will not keep their words. Lesson learned, case closed. Anything else done with Indians, now need to be done carefully and with written down agreements. If they don't respect and honour their words then we should do the same.

India had wriiten down agreement on border signed in 1974 still 40 some years later has not ratified it.
India has wrtten down agreement on Padma water sharing treaty and violates the treaty.
India has written down trade agreements but india impose tariff barriers to violates those agreements.

Writing down is not the issue, issue is india CAN NOT be trusted, period.

why don't we go to the court? :what:

Int'l court? Many of international courts do not have binding enforcement. At the end its matter of leverage and power projection. That is why india is a bully and not to be trusted and should not given anything. In one trade case though where WTO has some level of enforcement capabilty (through penalty) Bangladesh (for battery exporter Rahimafroz) was about to win the WTO case against india and realizing that indian turned over their earlier false dumping tax imposition.

It is india that has to give transit not Bhutan or Nepal, they are selling electricity to Bangladesh, so labeling indian transit a "tripartite matter" is the blatent lie and deception.

But when you guys are not ready to give any corridor to India then why are you expecting that India will reciprocate it to you? Is it not a fair deal that you should not expect it first of all?

India can never be trusted even for international accords as it violates these every now and then what to say about mutual ones.

Its time Bangladeshis should go for new generation of neutral politicians and overhaul the political outlook of hassina

India should make it clear that it will not give us the transit if we do not give them the corridor, instead of using excuses!

You obviously did not get my point! My point is the transit is not Nepal's headache! It is Bangladesh's problem. If we can have cables from one end of the Atlantic to the other having cables through China and Myanmar is very much possible!I am not saying it is practical but possible! Now,It should not be a tripartite matter because Bangladesh will pay for the transit and Nepal will only sell electricity!Do you get it?

come on..is that so hard to understand what a tripartite matter is??India bought Gas from Iran and they wanted to carry it through Pakistan.now why Pakistan would give a corridor and provide security for it??so this three country made a deal that they will give extra gas to pakistan for free..this matter is similar like that.what happens if a terrorist group blows your towers??do India have to take responsiblity for that??and why India will give protection to your towers??Nothing is free mate.and what happen if your deal collapse??who will be in charge of those towers??thats why India wants all the parties before making a deal.use your head, inside that, there is a brain you know..

Probably we could take lessons from Pakistan about abiding by International laws:tup:

Dude..you are speaking as if Indian is answerable to BD...And Indian should clarify everything relating to transit corridor to BD....It is matter of diplomacy....Whoever has the more necessity they have to accomdate other parties intrest...It can be India or BD too...Till that point...just enjoy the fun in PDF...

Let them cry. No one wants to discuss rationally. They all want to bash India.

What's the point of discussing with people who don't want to listen to points related to the matter ?

Just leave them and let them whine. When China builds dams on Brahmaputra, no one cries but India do anything, they have problem. Just imagine what would have been reaction if we announce 2 more dams on Brahamputra as we need energy to fuel our economy.
