While Eurofighter Consortium has had some success with half a dozen operators, the French are still desperate for an export launch customer for their Rafael. India could have squeezed out a very favourable deal but then the Rafael may not be all it's hyped out by some...... after all, under ideal circumstances, PAF did evaluated and rejected the French fighter. !!

I think Pakistan will protest China if we sell you guys J10b. To be honest, J10B is really worth the price it tags. With the price you pay dassault, you can go for F35. Some times you don't know how much envy i've got for India about the easy access to western technology, we are totally isolated.

On topic: I am sure you would have been able to acquire 1-2 squadrons with cheap loans from USA & China. Bt your strugling economy can only compansate ur forces with cheap products. Thats the reality mate, only thing thats makes your country respectable is nuke.

Meanwhile Brazil, which had a similar programe for procurement is in a phase of procurement with arrangement of Gripen C and D , until Gripen NG arrives.

The interesting part is the similarity to what happend there and in the competition!

1) multi role fighter competition was opened
2) government shows interest in strategic benefits for the industry and politically (although the latter wasn't the case in India)
2) evaluation shows Rafale is the most advanced fighter, but at high costs (EF were not even shortlisted because of costs)
3) decision gets delayed towards the elections
4) new government comes in and re-considers older policies!!!
5) new governemt wants to re-evaluate the results, based on own priorities!!!
6) new government selects the fighter with the highest risks according to the evaluation, but at low costs and most importantly high industrial benefits because Brazil can take part in the design and development stage of the new varient!!!
7) new government even compromises on getting older versions below the initial requirements, as stop gap measures, till the fully developed version will be available!!!

We already are at point 4 and points 5 to 7 could easily be applied to the EF in India too, except that the costs are low. The EF can give a stopgap measure, that can counter the shrinking squadron numbers, we can participate as a partner on the development of the T3B version, especially since none of the current partners want to buy it. Therefor the industrial benefit for India could be higher, than just licence producing the Rafale. That gets even more interesting if we take the importance of manufacturing parts in India of the new government comes to the picture, since the potential to not only licence produce parts in India, but also widely export them to other EF customers is far higher than for Rafale so far.

I have read all your Jf17 and Economic Data , and Trust me its NOT LIMITED to Defence.PK.

The Well known Fact is, 50 JF17 Block 1 are NOT SUFFICIENT. If PAF Had money, it would have replaced its Third Generation Fighters with the JF17 Fighter !. ( Now Dont Tell me You can Wait till 2150 for Block 100 of JF17 and that you want no more than 50 Fighters )

In Short, PAF Cant Afford the Cheapest Fighter , Their OWN Fighter !
And with Azadi Marches... Floods... and Bomb Blasts... Going on... You Will Get JF17 Block II , III .. But Brother .. As Bhutto Sahab Rightly Said... You will have to Eat Grass !
