India condemns OIC remarks on Jammu and Kashmir

why are Indians jumping on this statement? They should know that ground realities on international forums are different than what is taught to them in schools.. Kashmir is still pronounced as disputed territory even in UN.. the border is called line of control which is not an international border... the staatement from OIC is more than welcome! Kashmiries must not let die the hope!!!

Yawn...Pakistanis talking about ground realities.... Read the newspapers, watch TV.....maybe you will start to understand what the ground realities actually are for Pakistan......

Your countrymen seem to be keen on stirring the pot though, trust me you Bharatis don't want to see the day that the rest of the Muslim world gets on one page you aren't ready for it.

Umm OK if you think you know better more power to you although that doesn't reflect in what you wrote. You should tell your countrymen that what the OIC said didn't amount to anything but a simple "we support our Kashmiri Muslim brothers" and was just a casual remark so they can stop their call to arms.
It sure reflects on me what i say to my countrymen or the same thing i say to OIC basic lesson is same every where as it starts with teaching alphabets first ::ie get house in order.

India objects to OIC calling J&K a country

TNN | Aug 18, 2012, 04.55AM IST

NEW DELHI: An Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) communique referring to Jammu & Kashmir as a country drew a sharp reaction from India which described it as wrong and unacceptable. Despite opposition from India, OIC continues to refer to the state as occupied territory or a separate country.

"We note that there is an erroneous and factually incorrect mention about an integral part of India by the OIC in its communique issued at its Fourth Extraordinary Summit held in Makkah on August 14-15, 2012,'' said official spokesman and joint secretary Syed Akbaruddin. "This is wrong, unacceptable and we reject it,'' he added.

He was replying to India's position on OIC's reference to J&K in its meet in Makkah. Under the heading of Solidarity With Other Member States, the final communique at OIC Summit said, "The Summit affirms its solidarity and full support for Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan and J&K, Iraq, Yemen, Ivory Coast, the Union of Comoros and the Republic of Turkish-Cyprus in addressing the challenges facing these countries."

Kashmiri youths line up at Kendriya Vidyalaya, a school run by the army in Sonwar, Srinagar on August 5th to take the written test to become officers in the Indian Army.

That's the Kashmiri Youth's way of answering the Pakistani propaganda.

'Nuff said.
