There are some unsaid rules that around border countries do not act in a way others feel threatened. This road is not achieving anything for China because it is not needed to access anything. The only purpose of this would be to use in war. Any sensible country will accept Indian's concern. To give an example, even though India and Pakistan have so much history we have not done anything which others do not like. The Chinese posters in this forum act like a bully and show no understanding of being a sensible poster. Hope this is not a representation of chinese as a whole because if so they are really bad people with no sensitivities.

We are the leader of a counter trade pact to ttp (though ttp no longer exist). oh i know what you meant, but that is not what experts mean when they say politically. Since this is a military/geopolitical forum, i obviously answered accordingly. However i knew what you meant.

Though you have to think if the only thing you have to brag about is political freedom, that pretty much means you conceded every metric that matters on the international stage.

You really think, China wants a problem with India? Do you realise what a war with India will do for China. Consider CPEC dead if China goes to war with India. Then the dragon can forget all hopes of any endurance, because it will be dependent on much stronger regional powers than the small powers it deals with.

Japan is already strong on your eastern front. The Americans are present on your southern front. The Russians on your northern front. India on the western front. Pakistan on the north western front.

Of all these, easiest border issue to solve was India and Russia. Russia got solved. But with the increasing belligerence of China, it becomes imperative for the bigger players, namely Japan, America and India to push back. Which is what you see happening now. Of these most amenable to China is India. If you start a war of force, you will lose the CPEC lifeline. Then everything goes down to dependence on Russia. And Russians are the masters at waiting out winters and exacting their pond of flesh.

Good relations with India is a Chinese prerogative. India does not 'need' Chinese support for anything. China needs India to ensure CPEC succeeds. A war with India, may result in a stalemate militarily, but will end in economic disaster for the Chinese economy. Because let me assure you, you can kiss CPEC good bye, if ever China attacks India.
