Dont take that Im faulting everyine of you here. But some people like MMS and Kuldip Nayyar need to realize that the days of undivided Punjab are over and what remains is the Indian state of Punjab.

It is unfortunate to think that a state that gives the most number of soldiers to the Army also has these kinda people who are unable to rise above their hiistoric bonds and think in a pragmatic manner.

I was about to post my comment in other thread 'Pakistan 1st or Muslim 1st'. Mods locked it, anyways my reply was 'Punjabi 1st'. Most people prefer to be called by their ethnicities such as Punjabi's rather than Indians. Obviously I meant Indian Punjabi's, but above old guys in Indian cabinet have soft spot for Pakistani Punjab also, we have shared culture/rituals/customs/food/dress/surnames. Cities like Lahore, Peshawar have great significance. Its similar case to Bengalis who are divided in India/Bangladesh and Tamils between India/Sri Lanka.

That'll be boring. I surf around here mostly due to the very "international" feel of this forum.

I tried visiting IDF the other day, and it was mostly Indians commenting on internal India matters, something which I have no knowledge on at all. This forum meanwhile discusses many issues, mostly international, so the more nationalities here, the better

Contradiction. So India has a good name hence Pakistanis pass off as Indians. Sweden has a good name too but Pakistanis can not pass off as Swedes hence there must be some similarity between Indians and Pakistanis. does not mean we are the SAME (as it makes some skins crawl here), but the similarities is a possible avenue for buliding better relations.

Fair enough.

To that extent I see no point in what people who deny the similarities for ego or insecurity purposes say.
