India can easily ask for America anything and they will provide just to undermine Russian stuff, but I wonder if India will actually go for it.
Itni Khuwari ke baad SU-35 kia, PAK-FA to milna chahiye PAF ko Russia se.

But PAF kia karegi in sab ka ? Chor to andar hi hain

An imagined conversation:
RUSSIA -> INDIA: Look, pal. We are busy with the new war effort and may not be able to deliver your helicopters on time.
INDIA -> RUSSIA: OK, then we will just cancel it for now and may negotiate a new deal later.
INDIA -> USA: Look, we just cancelled a military deal with Russia. What more do you want from me? Now leave me alone.

The US had nothing to do with setting up HAL. It was a Hirachand Walchand group company nationalised by the British.

Dada you are partially right and I am also right (to some extent).

Seth Walchand did set up the industry with the Govt. of Mysore at that time (he partially supplied the funding), however clearly India did not have its own expertise in this then new industry, so it had to get aircraft manufacturing tooling, expertise and ToT from an American company (Inter Continental Aircraft Company). This is also mentioned in the HAL History page. See the end of the second paragraph.

The first few aircraft HAL Made were all US and Canada aircraft under US supervision including the following in 1941. Later USAAF took over the factory from Indian Govt. and converted it to a complete base for maintaining aircraft for USAAF (SE Asia coimmand), and especially for CBI theater.

Harlow PC-5A Trainer (Tandem Two seater) flew August 1941

"Indias aviation industry traces its roots to December 1940, when industrialist Walchand Hirachand established Hindustan Aircraft Limited (HAL) in Bangalore (now Bengaluru), with American technical assistance and capital and land provided by the Mysore government. Soon after the outbreak of WW II, the Indian government, realising the strategic significance of this enterprise, bought a one-third stake in HAL.

HAL had barely started licensed production when it was nationalised, in 1943, and handed over to the US Army Air Forces (USAAF). Functioning as an Aircraft Maintenance Depot, HAL repaired and serviced hundreds of flying boats, fighters, bombers and transport aircraft for the USAAF during the war. Bangalore, thus, became the hub of aviation industrial support to Allied forces deployed in the SE Asia Command, and produced thousands of aeronautical technicians."

These were some of the utility aircraft cobbled together and cannibalised from USAAF parts inventory and supplied to Indian Air Force past WWII.

What you have quoted is good enough, and gives a sufficient picture of the origins. Let us go with this.

That's diplomacy 101. Use any crisis for your advantage.

FGFA was a failure.

LEMOA, COMCASA and BECA programs have nothing to do with winning/losing

Indians hype up their diplomacy saying they can tow the line between Russia and USA and that they are indepedent.
The fact is India is much more compromised and under influence of USA than Pakistan ever be. They are just word warriors. Their actions speak a different story.
1) They cancel order of MIG-29 from Russia
2) They cancel order of helicopters.
Atleast Pakistan on some level is still resisting complete USA subjugation.

You mean apart from taking orders and removing the entire regime in Pakistan and proving our slavery.

Western pressure mounting on India day by day these are first signs of under pressure india

Some day, you might say something that even a dim-wit thinks worth thanking you for. Until then, this is the closest you will get.

Please drop that hypocrisy, right away. It was not about us that it was said that our country was ruled by a triumvirate, of which one was America. It is not our generals who are drinking buddies of the Pentagon bureaucracy. It is not our armed forces that were extensively armed and equipped by the US and by Britain, and even France, when you had money, or Germany, when you had credibility.

We got banned and sanctioned. You got Stinger missiles as retail agents to the CIA wholesale commission agency, and retained your commission in kind. You fought wars with excessively engineered equipment that you could not manage, while we made do.

When people act pious and pretend that they were not the lap-dogs of the Americans for decades, for most of their existence, and then point fingers at those whose policy has always been aligned to their own principles, it is a bit - stomach-turning, shall we say?

Leave it and go home. You have nothing to say. Saying so over and over again does not breed approbation.

Indians are the biggest hypocrites who have played on both side during cold war, it was US who saved you from China in 1962 and stopped Pakistan from joining the war, it was USSR who helped India annex East Pakistan to revenge IUS air bases in Pakistan, who gave India membership of Nuclear supplier group, who helped India getting into MTCR and who has always stopped Pakistan by putting sanctions going against India, these are just some of so many huge favors which India is getting from US.
