Sure India CAN go to war with China. Question that the Vice Chief failed to answer was whether they will be humiliated again like they were in 62, regardless of the improved training and equipment.. India still lags behind China in both men, equipment and infrastructure where it faces them.

However, the typical Indian responses show their mentality.. somehow taking their ability to defeat a nation 1/5th their size, 1/4th population and 1/15th their resources as some sort of accomplishment in itself. But then again, finding some solace in mediocrity is a very desi characteristic.. no wonder everyone from Alexander to the Persians,Arabs and were able to kick their arses and take names with none of the countless ethnicities that dot this subcontinent being able to put up anything beyond a whimpering fight.

About first part I do agree with you.One thing is to pick a fight, other thing is to win. And there is no pride in beating a neighbour whose army & population is brainwashed by false racial & religious supremacy from top to bottom. So much so that they are taught distroated pieces of history to children to keep national moral high.

About getting our A$$ kicked by from Greeks to Arabs & Parsians, at least we did fight them & lost to technological & strategically superior enemy & still in the end keep our own religion & culture forward rather than ending up a convert praising those from middle east who conquared us.

We never really have much time to think about things from our religious biased point of view. I already said From Pooro who stood against merciless Alexenders Hoplites to Prithviraaj Chouhan who even after being backstabed by fellow kings stood up against Mohammad Ghouri & his far superior army, (He was the first one to bring Gunpowder to Indian Sub Continent). Even Sivaji from far west to Ahoms in Assam there were so many fronts these invaders couldnt conquar. who understand competence and excellence in various fields of human endeavour
but NOT from those who look at us with a religious bias

We have a very LONG History ie 5000 years of civilisation

There is so much from the period of our HINDU rule that we can be proud of and are proud of

Similarly from the difficult part of our history
we take inspiration ; that we fought hard and survived and
rose up again and reclaimed our land and country

The Taj Mahal is not a bad thing at all ; and also NOT foreign
It was made from OUR Money ie jaziya and our labour

So now We are benefitting from it in tourism terms

The Railway system and other British things are also WELCOME and appreciated

There was NO chance of Industrial revolution ever happening on its own in India

You are right. Look at India, here minorities have more rights than majority hindu. Except from harcore Islamist every other relion lives with each other in harmony. Look at our western neighbour, they have marginalised minorities so much that now less than 1% population belongs to minorities. Irony isnt it.

While inaugurating a seminar, 'Make in India Made Easy:Opportunities and Challenges in Defence Sector', at the Army
Institute of Management Technology, Lt General Campose said "Economically and militarily, India and China are moving to the world's most influential nations and there is much likelihood of both countries to enter into a war in this decade."

Philip emphasised the need for a synergised approach by all stakeholders to ensure success of the 'Make In India' initiative in the defence sector and said India's 60 per cent defence procurement requirements are met by imports.


Moreover the effect of China's influence in Asia can be judged along their shared 4,057-km border, most notably over Arunachal Pradesh (which Beijing asserts is part of Tibet and therefore of China), and over the Aksai Chin region at the western end of the Tibetan Plateau
