India calls for UN Security Council reforms this year

I just mentioned that a nation which is 3rd largest economy and 4th largest military can not be ignored for long. All P5 including China have supported India's candidature. If any nation has a vision, she wont oppose India's entry into UNSC. The very demand of G-4 and acceptance by the P5 suggests the standing of G-4.

Again.. Japan is the 3rd largest economy in the world and they have been denied, As for India's inclusion ,No they have nothing to gain but to loose influence.. Do not take diplomatic statements issued at head of state visits for granted.. Thats is not how global power politics work.. To think other wise is just naive..

Neither of the 5 members wants a change in the status quo

.
So you think the UNSC is a useless organization, then why are you so desperate to join it?

India is always saying the UNSC is useless and unfair, but why are they still so desperate to get a permanent seat?
Because we want to join security council and make it more useless:lol::lol::lol: If you have brain you would understand it, if not ask me again.

China won't allow India to join, my best guess is when it really comes to that point, China will reignite the dormant border issues with India, just like yesterday China summoned Indian diplomat and lodge formal protest against Indian leader visit to the disputed area. and China will use that to block India out.

G4 has zero chance.

Japan has active territorial disputes with two P5 members (China and Russia) and we already said we will veto any reform resolution that includes them.

Germany and Japan are also very strong American allies, what makes you think Russia or China would support their entry?

That's why the reform resolution had been delayed for decades, it has no chance at all.

And no, we are not going to have a separate UNSC reform for each prospective member. It has already taken decades to get to this point, and it serves the interests of the P5 to delay and delay till the end of time.

.
The UN is already a toothless org and had been for decades.. And whatever else you have mentioned counts for zilch in terms of India getting a permanent seat

Note: Japan is the third largest economy btw
Purchasing Power Parity gives the real picture. In terms of PPP India is at no.3.

.
I have no idea why Chinese are objecting to UN reforms while every other nation in P5 are supporting India.
Except USA and Russia and to some extent Britain, the remaining two countries China and France got the P5 seat easily, even though they lost their respective countries to the aggressors.

Mean while some anti India forces from our North West neighbour jumps up and down with comments that do not make any sense.

for them ....
India has to wait and become strong so that countries will recognize and give permanent seat

Learn history before your speak, dimwit. Japan couldn't annex China after 10 years of war. France was gone in 6 weeks. Special case was made to admit France to P5.

The original P4, aka "The Four Policemen" was a term coined by U.S. PresidentFranklin D. Roosevelt, to refer to four major Allies of World War II and founders of the United Nations (UN): the United States,United Kingdom, Soviet Union, and Republic of China.

It will be fair and powerful organisation with the entry of G4.

If you believe in PPP, do you believe China is the number 1 largest economy in the world?

It's just a feel good measure full of subjectivity. When you buy the Rafale, you can't pay in PPP. When you buy oil, you can't pay with PPP. You pay in nominal currency.

Listen dude .... seems UN reforms will take place irrespective of Chinese concerns. China's opinion is never a concern for us.
There are reasons and then there are hurdles. But India deserve the permanent seat and is on the way to get it !

GDP PPP is designed to compare the purchasing power of the citizens of one country compared to another as the term suggests rather than total economic size.

Any way we're diverting from the subject

PPP is very laughable, it puts China the top economy in the world, even in China ,people just Laugh it off . We know where we are and the stupid PPP won't fool us. we know we are the second, still kind of far behind US and we know India is the 10th.

Whether India gets a permanent seat in the UNSC or not only time will tell but she has already established herself in a different league and for the bigger global roles.

Eh ?? Ok.. Is it because you called me listen dude that the UNSC will include India ? UN reforms will not happen even if it does certainly not in the UNSC.. India have no or little chance of getting a permanent seat in the UNSC.. Fact
