Shocked and dejected, every one in India, Militsary, media and public are running around peddling lies and making absurd claims to salvage something out of the humiliation they suffered at the hands of the PAF. One of the claims is that the IAF shot down a PAF F-16.
The Indians went as far as releasing a picture of the PAF pilot along with is rank, name and even his father's name who was said to be a former high ranking PAF officer.
This is the image and name these bewildered Indians have been showing to their gullible public.

The reality is that the Indians randomnly picked out this picture of the PAF pilot who was in China to participate in the Shaheen series of exercise and is seen posing in front of a PLAAF Flanker.
Well the pilot is genuine and very much a PAF officer, however he is a Group Captain Agha Mehar and despite getting all the unwarranted claims and publicity, is busy preparing to give the Indians another bloody nose if the need arises. So let's put an end to all the nonsense emanating from across the border.

Do not at any cost think this is Indian stupidity.

This is borne out of frustration and ineptitude, however it is clearly a Media disinformation campaign. There are hundreds of bots and paid BJP stooges out there spreading a misinformation campaign out there to turn the tide of the obvious beatings they are getting on the battlefield.

Indians are having their arses handed to them by the Pak forces. This is a deliberate misinformation campaign being carried to the millions of ordinary bhangees to keep their morale up.

Pakistan should have an effective media and information war team to counter this propaganda. The recent Russia involvement with Cambridge Analytica and also the far right success in social media misinformation campaigns are evidence of the success of these campaigns with much smaller budgets

First Indians didn't claim of shooting down any PAK F-16, I believe, due to the deep shock from the devastating PAF hit. Then they started claiming that PAF F-16B was downed in friendly fire by another F-16 and the pilots who landed on ground after ejecting were lynch by local people in Azad Kashmir (what a nonsense - Kashmiri people lynched their own pilots?). Then they claimed F-16 was shot down by Pak ground AD. And then they claimed it was shot down by an Indian SU-30. Then they started claiming that it was shot down by the Mig 21 just before that Mig was shot down by PAF. But that captured Indainn dude has never claimed to shoot down Pak F-16. He rather said he was trying to find a target when he became a target of PAF. Indians are bloody liars having no shame whatsoever.

He still looks the same from almost 20 years ago. He appeared a couple of times in an air force TV show from the nineties.
