India is bracing itself for a possible Chinese intrusion in Uttarakhand, surrounded by China and Nepal from two sides not many know this state is Indias MOST vulnerable state. China lays claim to the grazing grounds(Barahoti) at Harsil (near Uttarkashi) and Rimkhim (near Joshimath). Barahoti sees patrol confrontations regularly. In the past, PLA had come in several times in the images shown below.
Broken bridges and lack of proper Infrastructure has been the hallmark of this impoverished region. Floods and rains normally makes this area inaccessible.
Recently the Indian top brass ordered road building to be stepped up for better access to four critical border passes."It has been decided that there would be a concerted heft towards road construction activities in this sector. To that end, four passes to Niti, Lipulekh, Thangla-1, and Tsangchokla have been decided to be connected by (road by) 2021 on priority,".
As elsewhere on the border, China has already built all-weather roads to these passes, emanating from the western highway that links Lhasa with Xinjiang.
Recently some critical bridges were built in Uttarakhand.
Since the completion of roads is still far off three airstrips and many helipads have been completed on an emergency basis.
India is under a constant threat of an Intrusion, transgression, or an invasion by the PLA at any time. The inability to counter it and feel constantly helpless leaves India in the league of nations that are called COWARDS.![Jhanda :pakistan: :pakistan:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/cute/jhanda.gif)
