What's new

India asks Pakistan to hand over 20 "fugitives".

Dear 3rd eye, quite frankly you need to improve your knowledge a little because in one of the thread you consdiered "non state actors" a new term coined by Zardari. Honestly, if you don't know what is the role of non state actors in today's world, it is quite useless discussing 21st century terrorism with you....

What do you know so much about non-state actors?. Zardari was just beating around bush, instead of saying terrorists he is saying non-state actors.

It is a new term begun to be used by Leaders In S Asia to justify their incompetency.

In any case, is this the best u cud contribute ?

By not giving Terrorist some have been listed on FBI sites too shows Hypocrcy by Pakistan. Especially when it clandestinely allows US to pick up Pakistanis and send them to Guantanamo Bay.
Even after US has released many prisoners from Guantanamo Bay 5 of them still known to be their. (http://www.dawn.com/2008/11/11/top14.htm)

Why didn't Pakistan take the stance that they will be tried in Pakistan and Punished in Pakistan? Absolute double standards.

^Clandestine is the word Goodperson. Pakistani politicians cannot be seen towing India's line in public.
India made a diplomatic mistake by going after Pakistan in public. Manmohan Singh should have played it cool till they had enough on the Pakistanis, and then called up Zardari on his word to help India.

Now with India adopting a confrontational stance, Zardari is under public pressure to act tough and go back on his word of offering full cooperation.

Though I doubted all along that Pakistan would be handing over any fugitives to India, the chances of that happening have been lowered further now.

The only way forward I see is for India to calmly complete its investigations and hand over the results to the countries whose citizens have been killed. Then perhaps we can formulate a joint plan to either pressure Pakistan to act against the terrorists, or undertake covert operations on its soil and eliminate the targets.

True if you are discussing on approach, The evidence was overwhelming it about boats RDX, and the terrorist who was caught alive. Plus much more even US shared intelligence MOSSAD got involved too.
Pranav Mukherjee was Idiotic in his harsh reply when Dr Manmohan got around without taking the name of the country.

Actually I think Pranab Mukherjee was quite diplomatic. These news channels misinterpreted his interview in the most horrible way.

Get these facts straight in your head, first India is no USA, second those captured belonged to AQ and were foreign nationals and a very few number of Pakistanis were there but in case you forgot let me remind you that this was one of the major reasons that resulted in a huge farcry inside pakistan and the reason why the ex government of Musharraf lost elections and that too in a very shameful manner. Do you think that this government of president Zardari which by the way is a collation government can commit the same mistake again and hand over Pakistanis without any proof to India, well think again.

India has been given the option, provide proofs and Pakistan will act upon them inside Pakistan, rest is up to India if it wants to exercise the very generous option made by Pakistan or perhaps remains engaged with what it does best, propaganda.

If anything, you just cemented my opinion about your ignorance. Non state actors were brought into the fray by your master america after the fall of USSR. Go smell some coffee...... if by South Asia, you mean India, its fine with me. I can surely contribute much better provided the interlocutor has some minimum standard of knowledge and doesn't pull out rabbits from his hat. :blah:

And you come on the defence forums to discuss defence issues....
