India will show real iron. If India were to grow by 8% for next 8 years, everyone will sit and take notice of India. With increasing economic might, military might is not an issue. Most projection are saying India is going spend $600 billion on defense modernization in next 10 years.

Look at usa. Look at china.tho china aint there yet but has self sufficiency.
Some basic logic u are failing.

Huh? Did you know that there is no equipment even with super power U.S. that is 100% indigenous except the F-22 Raptor? They have a myriad off shore contractors to build systems for them. Even the F-35 has 35 European contractors under Lackheed Martin. These imports cost billions of dollars to America!

But they are still a super power, right?
