India, Afghanistan plan air cargo link over Pakistan

the most expensive type of cargo is air to air. India can probably sell certain things through air to air but what is Afghanistan going to send back that is going to warrant paying air to air cargo fares ?

It depends.. some times when you purchase an airline ticket if you have realised it indicates what percentage of what you are paying them that goes to the taxes they pay. It is huge without which the same ticket would have cost you the half or less!

India can certainly export certain product(s), a key product they can export to Afghanistan via air cargo and some Indian companies can make $millions of is medicines and related products. This is very feasible despite costly transportation given India's huge competitive edge over any other country in this industry. Now with some waivers and incentives by both government, Afghan products of any type can take advantage of being piggybacked (a marketing term which can aptly applied here) to India and there should be no problem what so ever and both sides win. Thinking out of the box and sometime what looks non-conventional can be done by India and Afghanistan here. Perfecto!

Looks like Afghanistan taking serious steps towards getting rid of its reliance on Pakistan.

It wasn't long ago that we had Pakistani traders in Kabul crying over loosing their wheat market to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan etc.

Yet Pakistan is set to loose another big piece of this vital market.

I used to live with afghanis, indians and bangalis overseas for more than a decade and I found afghanis more racist and hatters towards Pakistan than anyone else which was quite shocking for me. They are not trust worthy people. They will stab u in the back wen times come. So dont be silly with the muslim brotherhood thing.

YET we still continue to feed, sustain and look after the Afghan nation. You can't blame the Afghans. It's the fault of us Pakistanis. We should adopt a more strict approach to them and put them in their places. The Afghans have been living off the backs of Pakistanis for FAR TOO long now. You are retard if you think Afghanistan is insignificant that is certainly not well established and smart fat cats (business people) in Pakistan think. Pakistan must accept the fact that Afghanistan has become apart of Hindustan. Afghanistan is a province of New Delhi and Afghans should not call themselves an independent nation. Mr Ghani and his predecessor Mr Karzai have always wanted a special union and merger with Hindustan.

You cannot do anything except swallow your pride and let Indian cargo planes fly to Afghanistan. Worse still, you cannot even check airplanes, while you could have checked cargo trucks.

Ghani was extremely pro-Pakistan when he took office and wanted to improve Afghanistan's relation with Pakistan. It is your backstabbing self which would not tolerate anything less than a slave in Kabul which turned Ghani against you.

Air cargo is very expensive mean of transport for a nation like Afghanistan. It simply costs a lot of money to transport low value goods. The main exports of Afghanistan are fruits and it is likely to be unwise to transport such products by air. Indians on the other hand can exporr machinery but I wonder if they would consider to import machinery by Air.

Pakistan allows goods to be exported to India from Afghanistan via land, but doesn't allow import, as exports are good for any country's economy, Pakistan is actually helping you guys to boost your economy by allowing export and not Import.

But I do know that Afghanistan was allowed limited quantity to be exported overland.

Before making any judgement, checkout your country's geographical position first. Pakistan doesn't use Indian airspace that much which will kill us if we are not allowed to use it. but the other way around may happens.

I do remember during Musharraf's time, India blocked Indian airspace for Pakistani Origin Traffic, and it turned into a nightmare for India.

Nope , Indian Flights taken detour from Mumbai to West country only increase 2 hr flight time from del , But became nightmare for PaK, Nepal and SL was almost stopped and East Asian flights was also stopped.
