India Accepts Pakistan Air Force is a Leading Force

They say a picture is equal to a thousand words, While Pakistan air combat history is not as impressive as say the Lutftwaffe or RAF, the following detail shows the varied cross section of aircraft that PAF shot down in air combat both at home and abroad, and despite whatever the outcome of the wars, the PAF always came out with honours against the odds.

It's worth pointing out that the above detail only covers the combat jet aircraft, apart from these the tally also includes, an Indian Naval Alize ASW aircraft a Krishak AOP, Indian Army Helicopter, an Afghan air force AN-26 Transport were also shot down. The detail is also missing Afghan MIG-21s that also fell victim to PAF.
PAF also has the distinction of shooting down an Israeli made Indian Air Force UAV during a night interception in 2002.

:cheesy: man are you real, upto now i knw in many countries having secret development of weapons but you are stating classified R&D.

who knew of JF-17's before it was unveiled?

it was developed china. it wasnt secret project of pakistan

Where in my post did you find the word 'indigenous'??? My point is that all our efforts are kept secret until the last possible moment unlike India that has been beating the drum of MMRCA since 2004/5 and still hasn't awarded any contracts yet.

What a load of crap, PAF would have shot down Mig-29's, Mirages and a whole lot more had Pakistan been engaged in a war. Kargil was militarily a victory for Pakistan as Indian Army in 6-8:1 and 10 squadrons of frontline Indian fighters/bombers could not reclaim most of the positions and could only do so when Pakistan pulled some 4k-5k fighters back!

No wonder, India could only amass 700,000 - 800,000 troops at the border in '02, spend billions of rupees and then unilaterally scale down without the hint of crossing LoC despite tall claims by Indian! Even the surgical strike dream evaporated soon after that!

Do you understand meaning of Military victory? Before I burst your bubble, Will you care to define objective of Kargil conflict?

In Any Conflict there are 3 Fundamental Parameters to Gage Success --

What was the Strategic Military Gain ?
Did you Gain Iota of Land Mass ?
Diplomatically - Do illustrate any Diplomatic Milage gained.

Dont Believe in "We could have or We would have". It doesn't matter how much Indian Military Spends. For your Kind information Border Security Force has a USD 2 Bn Annual Budget which is much greater than Entire Bangaldesh Miliary Expenditure.

Sir -- The Whole world says Contrary to your Illustrious Post.

Show me One Article written by an Established International NEWS Organization reiterating your speech!!

Don't really have anything to say right? Figures.....what else can you do except make tall claims and then back down.

And what list would that be...... is the IAF part of that list. ???
Seems your tail is on fire like this Indian MiG-21.

Next 5 to 10 years will be crucial in determining where both forces stand. From what it looks like India will edge ahead if it goes through its plans without hiccups. Hiccups here would mean if India does its acquisitions how its been doing it for the past 30 years. A huge gap happens if a project or acquisition is a few years late.

Get your facts right

Dont laugh like this on them.

After all this is their forum. This is the only place where they can make up stories to satisfy their egos, no other forum will them to do that.

Actually its the other way round Markus. We might be making up false stories to satisfy our egos yet we Pakistanis accepts Indians on our forum and you are free to post your opinions irrespective of its nature, however when it comes to Indian forums you guys don't even have the guts to accept a difference of opinion from a Pakistani perspective, speaks about who makes up stories to satisfy their egos.

lack of information we send that much troops... Do one thing next time give us data (soldiers etc) we will send same numbers :azn:....

again kargil:alcoholic:.... aren't you ashamed of that provoking act...

SU-30 MkI is the Indian pride, Pakistan can easily deal with that threat by air to air anti radiation long range supersonic missiles, Indians have just to activate their MKI's radars and it is done, Boom right on the nose, so with a bloody nose there not much of a fight left.
The rest of the story is easy to imagine.

he he .....:lazy:

there is nothing crucial about it

India is looking beyond this region. its air force is a deep strike air force at a regional level if not world level yet.
Pakistan on the other hand has restricted itself to self defence and minimum deterrence.

the technological and power gap is big already as we stand, by the time MMRCA would have been inducted fully and Indian Mig 21s would have been phased out then this difference will be even huge.

lets not see PAF beyond its role and capacity.
