India a Country of Hindus and of Their Descendants - Dr. Swamy

he onced wrote that Jesus's wife was a Malayali......
it says all about his mental condition...

So? There are stories about Mary Magdalene. There are doubts about even his birth and stuff. That Christians believe in virgin birth should tell you about their mental condition. Most of the research about his existence or lack of it comes from Christians all over the world. Only the Indian Christian does not want to get involved with reality.

personally as a Malayali,i have no problems with it if his argument is true....

There are mosques out there blaring that their god is the only true god in India everywhere. Do you think anyone is protesting? God know how many pastors and evangelicals have come here with parchments claiming Hindus are worshiping devils. I saw a couple of them myself. Everyday the Chruch appropriates one or other Hindu cultural artifact or behavior and claims it as Christian in hopes of luring more Hindus to the fold. All these are assaults against the main faith in this country. All these happen every single day. You obviously have no issues with that but find issues with Ajit because he talks about the research the original Christians are doing?

Now, whatever his observation that followed is based upon these eighty authentic cases of temple desecration. He is not clearly denying that the number cannot be more; instead he is more interested in building up his other arguments (such as the reason behind the destruction of temples) based upon these eighty authentic data. How he got that number is in fact a subject of query but this is exactly what he says. I also agree that this number can be (or must be) more but it is going to be much lesser than that being claimed by the other set of Historians.

I am aware of what Eaton has said. My point is regardless of what he sees as proven cases, there are records of court chroniclers which suggest a much larger number. There is little to be gained by insisting that it was otherwise or by apportioning different reasons for the demolitions. The number would likely have been a significant figure though we will never really know exactly.

his research???...hahaha...
didn't you read his famous article 'The world is coming back to hinduism-The mother of all religions'"-Capt.Ajit ,Vadakayil...
where he says ''Jesus Christ of Jerusalem, king Solomon of Judea, prophet Muhammad of Mecca,Buddha all spoke the same language(.Malayalam)....it says all about his so called great 'research'...

Yo, learn to read properly. I said he talks about the research the Christians are doing. Not his own research. No he never claimed they all spoke the same language. That is your invention. What he claims is that at one point of time Dharma ruled the world.

Will get Najma Heptullah’s DNA tested to prove Hindu ancestry: Swamy - Video | The Times of India

He does it again. Another faux-pas. What will BJP do? Defend it?

I can not count how many times I have heard the argument that Muslims are descendants of invaders and of people converted under duress. Now where does one fit this fresh statement? Has this been the standard RSS line for long or is this something blown out of proportions?

This is not a troll thread, although I do feel that this is what it will eventually become. I hope any discussion that is generated stays within bounds of sanity.

@he-man , I would appreciate your input. I am hoping for a civil debate.
@Ravi Nair , @nari , @Indrani , @AbhimanyuShrivastav , etc.... Your opinions?

I have been watching this thread run for more than 44 pages now!!!

What amazes me is that even bigger issues like ISIS/Boko Haram and their crimes don't get similar condemnations!!!
I think that if we count all the threads condemning ISIS, they wouldn't have got more attention than this thread alone!

While I hold no brief for Dr.Swamy and I believe he really is a nutcase, don't you think this kind of focus on his rants while brushing aside everything else, is a little misplaced?

We see ISIS and other Islamists and their crime spree on a daily basis -- capturing, enslaving, raping enough number of women and children to start a whole new town! And we haven't seen enough condemnation from the "moderates" yet!

But hey, Dr.Swamy is a bigger villain for his rants!!!

I did not make it run for 44 pages. People post on a thread for as long as they like. The discussion has wandered over a lot of territory. @Indrani even gave lessons on Hindu theology. So, what do you expect?

There is no equivalence in case of Dr. Swamy on one hand and Boko Haram on the other. You are finding fault where none exists. You have a problem? Find it with posters who have stretched this thread, not with OP or forum.

If you think that some posts violate forum rules, let me know. If you think that someone is insulting India or Indians, do report. I hope you get the point and show some forethought in your criticism.

Hey I gave the short course (if a para can be called that) on Hindu theology because you lectured me on humanism which you felt was being given a short shrift by the Hindutvavadis in their quest for a Hindu identity for the nation. So my point in bringing it was humanism is not going anywhere. We are the grandfathers of humanism.

What about our religious sentiments ? Did any one care for that ?

Shrimati Ji, if I wished to expand on that, I would have engaged you. There are people grumbling about this thread already. I really do not wish to encourage a religious tangent. I was just making a point for him to understand.

Okay, my bad. Again I do not know why people grumble. It is not like the thread is eating up the disk space on their comps or there are no other threads to read about. You do the right thing by letting the thread run its natural course. Thanks.
