As much as I hate the bhartis, I think you guys are going overboard. The story here sounds like some mentally ill person in India. They have like 1.5 billion population so of course the mentally ill are probably not diagnosed. It's very sad as a Muslim and Pakistani to hear that anyone would ever harm their own mother. It makes my heart bleed.


For me, my mother is like the one person I feel like I could never keep on living without. And to see anyone of any religion do this to their own mother... Killing him, torturing him, beating him is not enough. The only true punishment for that is what Allah swt will give him. And it will be for eternity.


This thread only helped me realize how much I love my mother, and I will talk to her as soon as possible.

I guess you have no clues what a culture stands for. Its like saying terrorism, suicide bombing, bacha baazi etc are Pakistans rich culture.

You have no clues about how vast and diverse is India, yet you think you know all about India. If you can map certain oddities as culture of India, then why you forget 1000s of goods that you will find no where in the world except in India.

Is that what all Hindus do?
Its not like Bakra eid, I hope you can understand that. In some remote corner of India if some sect has some beliefs that may still be prehistoric and barbaric, that doesnt mean majority agrees to it,we have been working hard towards educating for betterment.
And we have plenty of laws in place to handle such situations. And if and when required there will be more work done on ensuring new civil standards are set.
